You can do a 3 leaf progressive AAL without changing the OEM bilstein pro shocks, but any more than that 1.5" will cause issues very quickly.

Travel on the 5160 is roughly 9.8"

I had a cap on it and it sagged quite a bit also Toyota rear leafs suck so I went to a custom leaf shop in Albany and they make them right on the spot. I talked to one of the guys and told him I want it about and inch higher than the front and he said not problem. So far so good and it's wood season so they will be tested real soon!

I have thought about the AAL but, they seem like a "band-aid" for lack of a better word, to me. 1.5" is the max before issues with the OEM rear shocks?

They look really nice. I have thought about going to a company to get custom leafs made. What shop in Albany if you don't mind me asking?

Watkins Spring right on Central Ave, they do all leaf work for the surrounding Toyota dealers, in fact they had 2 new Tundras they were working on also! They have been around forever and make all their leafs in house!

I’ve had an icon progressive aal on for over a couple years....works just fine with zero issues.

I consider it a band-aid 100% but I've had mine for a while too and like @JuanitoBunito said... zero issues. I'm all about doing things once (Dakars or All-Pro) but sometimes the budget just says wait it out...

Thats great man. I see a lot of people that run AAL with zero issue. I just don't think they're what's right for me.

Leave those empty boxes back there for now. At least that way it looks like you're carrying that load until you replace your leaf springs lol

My 2013 had the drop butt taco condition and I added a Wheelers AAL and it worked out great. Almost three years and the drop butt has not returned and I have been known to use the bed for things a lot heavier than the recommended weight....

    Thanks, man.

I am on an impromptu trip in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She's seems... unintimidated.

WHat suspension setup? A lot of cutting and trimming to fit those?
