I have the wheelers aal installed and couldn't be happier! Install was a breeze, the rear is now level with the front and the ride seems better. I havent hauled any real weight since the install, but Im confident the back end won't be on the ground.

I’ve looked at that one, is the install a big deal for averge home mechanic; I have 2 jacks and 4 stands.

You'll regret the AAL if you have extra weight. That's why I went to Dakars from the AAL. Granted I have a lot of weight with a high clearance bumper with swing out, spare, and two jerry cans. I did the equivalent of the new Dakar HD with the extra leaf and one overload removed. You would probably be fine with the standard Dakar pack and could add the extra leaf later if you needed to. You could also look into the AllPro Expos.

This is with 35's, some trimming, and the spacers up front and loaded Dakars out back.

Thanks again for the recommendation! It looks so much better and rides awesome! The shutter/vibration is very minor and if it wasn't for my OCD I probably wouldn't even notice it....LOL

Lol, Na I get it. Mine is also a 6 speed so perhaps that may have something to do with it...in terms of not feeling a possible vib. I believe the carrier bearing drop isn’t needed until you reach 3” of lift. Not to say it wouldn’t work on yours....good luck.

Funny thing, my mechanic left in the overload by mistake and when he drove over to my place to pick me up I noticed right away that the rear end was higher then the front end. That wasn't the look that I wanted so he took the truck back and removed the overload. I think it sits much better now.

I have no idea how hard it was to install the front top plate spacer but the itemized bill from the mechanic lists the labor at $333. Honestly I don't know if that's a fair price or not but I trust my mechanic to do it right. I also needed a front end alignment afterwards because the toe and caster were off......that was another $99.

I already ordered the carrier bearing drop and the axle shims......the carrier bearing drop is real cheap and looks simple to install and according to the ToyTec website it can be used with the axle shims.....I'm thinking the axle shims might help just because of the wording from the website description.....here's what the website description says.....

Axle degree shims are ideal for Add-A-Leaf and Leaf Pack installs to minimize or eliminate rear drive line vibration.
    - Degree shims are perfect for 2" to 3" rear lift.

The aal added about 2" of rear lift to my truck so maybe this we work......we'll see.......besides, the parts are pretty cheap and the labor can't be that much.

Yeah the bearing drop is super simple, shims I’ve never done.

I watched a video on how the check the driveline geometry but honesty I felt real dumb after watching it. I'm hoping my mechanic can figure it out and let me know. After he does that he can decide if I need the carrier barrier drop and/or the axle shims......both of which I already ordered. Both of these parts were only $65 and the labor looks pretty easy for both.....

Truck lools fantastic with that setup. Looks like it pretty much level? I love the way that looks. Did you have to do anything with the brake lines?

Thanks for the compliment! I love the way it looks now as well and it feels great driving it.....feels pretty much like stock except the rear is a bit more stiff but nothing harsh. I did install SS brake lines in the rear just to be safe but it wasn't really necessary. I think it's pretty level but just doing the math makes me think the front is about 1/2" higher then the rear but I have yet to measure it. either way, I love the look.

Sweet, appreciate that. I like a level truck and contrary to what most like, don't prefer a little rake when emtpy.

Finally installed my Firestone Ride Rite airbags and Daystar cradles. Running 5-7 psi, it sits perfect. Oh, and I am horrible about taking before and after pics.
