If you want to go an inch or inch and a half you shouldn't have to. I'd probably consider extended brake lines though.

I never looked into it, but you're saying the DCLB doesn't come with a manual?

Yup, that burnt orange (inferno red) really makes the truck pop.

 

Whats the difference between a trd pro and a trd tx pro?

 

Suspension, grill, price, and color if you get orange plus it has color matched and fake skewp like a sport and the traction conteol and locker like offroad

 

Not here in the states, maybe in Canada. But no offroad package/locker and no manual in double cab long bed trim here new.

 

I think the '16 DCLB is what's going to make me trade in my TX Baja. I just hope it comes with some type of rear locker. I actually use mine 1-2 times a month at our property in WV and its a nice insurance policy to have.

 

The pros and the tx baja are the same suspension wise just different with the aesthetics. Color matched bumpers, mirrors. Grill insert, badges, hood. One minor difference inside. .....no clock below the radio , it just says Tacoma.

 

The trd tx pro is not the baja, its a wheels/tires/sticker package added to the trd offroad.

The trd tx baja is basically the same suspension components as the pro, but it has stickers and the front springs are supposedly softer in the pro. Mine does ride softer than my baja setup did but not by much.

 

My post was about the TRD Pros and the Baja. Until I got my Baja, I was under the impression that the Baja and the TX PRO were the same. But your correct, the TX PRO has the specific decal, the exhaust and beadlock wheels.
As far as the suspension on the TRD Pros and the BAJA, I've found nothing about it being any different. Just people saying it feels different and what not. I have found that they have 6112's in front and 5160's in the back. If you do know where you found that spring rate info I honestly would like to read it.......I'm just curious if there is more differences in our trucks.

Oh...I meant to ask, how are you liking that quick shifter???? I just added mine a few days ago. I love it. It's night and day.

I figured just wanted the info to be close for people's out there who may find it and be confused. I wish I remembered where I read they reduced the spring rate, I think it was 650 to 600 lbs/in on the springs but I could be way off.

The hoses for the 5160's out back are wrapped in rubber now on the pro, probably since the plain braided ones on the Baja rusted so bad. And the spring seat on the 6112's up front is a little different, it has a bevel on it my Baja parts were square edges.

Also some baja package trucks I noticed had the reservoirs mounted piggyback. My Baja setup and my PRO both have them mounted on the frame.

I don't think my PRO has the short shifter, its not listed on the sheet.. it does have the knob. My last truck had the shifter but its been 10 months since I drove it. My wife commented on the shifter being in a slightly different position and the new truck definitely shifts smoother!

Now I am curious!! Im going to pull the boot and see for sure now, maybe it does have it already. It feels the same from what I remember except this truck is butter smooth and the old truck felt like it was wading through cold fluid.

Gotcha....very cool stuff to know. I do remember reading about the rear shock hoses. Yeah man, the shifting is night and day. Totally different and better if you ask me. I'd think having the knob wouldn't mean you have the shifter as they sell them separate. The window sticker should show you whatever dealer add ons they put on....which I'm sure you know.
Your like the 3rd person I've seen with a TRD Pro 6spd in inferno. I was trying to get my hands on one a dealer had in Missouri before I found my Baja. Long story behind it but the manager was telling me (at least at the time) it was the only inferno pro 6spd in the nation. All the research I did....I found 2 other pro 6spds but not infernos. Obviously in time I knew more would make their way out as you are the 2nd or third person on TW with one. Very cool though...I like the rarity of not many out there. You have a truck only few other people own.

 

Haha yes swaybar will be missing on the PRO eventually as well.
