Any of y'all running 700lbs springs on your Baja suspension?

From everything I've read it's not "supposed" to be doable

I’ve seen members swap to 700lb springs when they added plate bumpers

Yeah I just order a BAMF all steel front bumper. Anticipating the extra 150lbs of weight.

But if I remember correctly, the Baja suspension is basically a 6112. In which I've heard can become "compromised" if you run a 700lbs spring on them

Granted, that was guys running on the 4th-5th notches, and Baja only has 3 if I remember right

The Baja Bilstein’s aren’t adjustable actually. Somewhere in this thread there should be a few members who swapped out the front springs to compensate the extra weight

Guess I'll wait for them to chime in. I think I'm the only 3rd gen dude running the Baja in here lol

Perhaps side-specific to eliminate the taco lean? Where’d you get that brand spanking new set from?

I was very surprised how well the stock Baja setup handled the weight of my ARB bullbar. Id wait and see how you like it once you get the BAMF installed.. might not need 700s

Yes, the Baja coilovers are side specific. @bot102 you are definitely 1 of the very few with a 3rd gen running a 2nd gen Baja/Pro suspension. I did very recently come across someone else doing it but I don’t remember who. I was just scanning through the thread.......it may have even been you. Lol.
I ironically switched my rear Baja shocks to the 3rd gen Pro shocks. Also, I may have a good line on a set of 3rd gen Pro front coilovers. Once I get them, I think I may be the first to have a 2nd gen with the 3rd gen Pro setup....... but who knows. :notsure:

I’m running that bumper on my Baja without any issues. Didn’t switch out anything
