Ok guys, I've had my pro since january and just now found time to get it on some trails. when i put it in DAC it makes a horrible noise, similar to what happens if you dont engage it into 4lo properly. When I engaged it I had come to a complete stop at the top of a hill. the locking differential was NOT locked. My transmission was in drive. I pushed the DAC button and slowly edged toward the hill. It seemed to function ok but the noise was so bad that I thought I was ruining my truck so I disengaged it. I had a FJcruiser that had this option without this atrocious noise, and my wife has an xterra that has this option and works flawlessly without noise as well. Please dont tell me this is normal and toyota thought it was acceptable to use this technology in this fashion in this truck when clearly it has been perfected elsewhere, even by them. WTF. Did i do something wrong or should i take it in to the dealership?

The sound is normal. It's the ABS working to slow down each wheel. Sounds like gear grinding or wound cable that's about to snap. The manual also warns us of this noise.

Oh shit, that's good to know that a Deere will fit in our beds. I have one as well. It looks about the same size(46") deck.

This is a baby one, a 42". But the front wheels clear the wheel wells on the truck.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    Had some fun today

    Not enough...
Went on a group run last night and found some mud puddles. In L2 mode and TRAC off my truck was making some strange sounds I haven't heard before. Most noticeable was the loud ticking sound coming from the front end. Not sure what the hell it was, but it only happened when I was balls deep in mud and haven't done it since.

down hill assist control I believe. Its a feature on trucks with the automatic transmission to slow the vehicle on hills since we cant just throw it in first and crawl.
