    Hey guys,

So I looked up on my Owners Manual and did not find on there any information on recommended break in period. What should I do to break in my new Pro? What did you do to break in your Baja or Pro?

Straight off the truck - Nice! Never seen a new Baja with a factory TRD skid plate. Looks good man. I agree, I've never driven a lifted 4x4 that drives as good as the Baja either. It's got a really nice tight suspension on the road. Steers great. Mines been just a road queen so far. . .

You lied. You haven't read section 2-1, page 132, Driving Procedures. :)

I noticed you had an S2000. I got rid of an 08 CR to get the Baja. Both fun vehicles in their own class. Wish I can keep both though.

I would rephrase your statement. Here is section 2-1, page 132 of my owners manual. Thank you....

My bad. I didn't realize they changed that much in the manual in just one model year.

    From 2014:

Go back a few pages on yours to see if it's there. Toward the beginning of the section.

Thanks man, Yeah I remember seeing it on my previous owners manual for my other Tacomas, but I have looked through my whole new manual and could not find it anywhere. Thanks for the pictures of yours.

The thing is, I didn't even see that section until after the first oil change at 5000 miles.

Nothing has blown up yet :)

Did you do anything special when you first got your truck? Did you drive a specific way or just normal?

I just drove it normally. Only thing I paid attention to was avoiding sudden stop or high speed braking in the first few hundred miles so the pads could get properly seated.

But honestly, the first 1000 miles went over quickly.

So having a baby, should be born April 4th and i currently have a 2010 taco access cab 6sp manual. Wanted to stick with a taco so my wife and i looked at the double cabs to see if they would meet our needs and we agreed they did. Talked my wife into a TRD Pro Dbl cab V6 6sp manual. Talked to dealer and dont have any instock with that setup and they said i could not get one. Spoke to my bank "USAA" and they directed me to a toyota corporate dealer and just orderd my TRD Pro from the factory with everything i wanted and nothing i did not need in Inferno for $36,297 with $20K in trade "still owe 10k on it". Pretty happy with the deal and my truck should be here in 6-8 wks right in time for the baby! Now time to get my truck back to stock ASAP lol.

I requested as part of deal. I hate white letters. All the people at dealership agreed with me that it looks better without white letters.

Congrats on both new babies! DC is definitely a must over an AC once you need car seats! You're gonna love the Pro...Inferno is an awesome color...

Yeah, as soon as we put in the car seat in the AC we both looked at each other thinking not going to happen. I would have just purchased a Sport if they did not offer inferno, pretty excited to get it.

Someone correct me if wrong but I think all of the TRD Pros get Nav. Mine just said touchscreen as well but in fact included navigation. Glad to hear of another 6-speed to soon be out in the wild.

Awesome to see another AC TRD Pro! Auto or Manual?

yes nav is included. i am pretty sure the trd pro package is pretty close to everything you can get on a current Tacoma minus the options that you have to add on like steps and the ipod cords, and heated seats and such.

just got off the phone with my corporate dealer for finalization and he was saying that a 6spd TRD pro are extremely rare. I enjoy my current 6spd access cab and not willing to swap to auto. just my preference. I also talk to him about getting a factory installed supercharger, i know they are going to say no but he is going to ask the factory anyway for me so might as well try.
