Am I correct that 4Runner TRD Bilstein 6112s have a shorter overall length or a lighter spring rate resulting in a lower ride height than the TX Baja/Pro setups?

Found an unused set for sale.

Fun discovery this morning when I'm two hours away from starting my 1800 mile drive back to CA. Beyond possible cupping of the front left tire, are there any other issues I'm asking for by driving it home? Wheeled in Moab fine and figure this must've happened in the Ouray area afterwards.

Replace just the blown shock or do both? Truck is a 2014 with only 59k miles and the front right doesn't show any signs of leaking.

You’re approaching the life expectancy of those shocks, definitely replace both of them.

Good to know. new to tacomas from subarus so learning plenty about truck suspension. Would you recommend replacing with OEM bilsteins or going to something more easily rebuildable?

It’s a pretty personal choice. I like the OEM setup.
If you’re sure you want to stick with something different for the next 100k + miles, pick a good rebuildable shock.
Some guys around here do regular oil + lube + filter + wheels + suspension changes which is also fun. There are SO many good options out there.

Backdraft & Superformance are the top Cobra makes (and the only ones that fit comfortably if you’re 6ft). I’ve driven a Backdraft like that with the same trans and a 302. Those are amazing.

There’s really nothing like them as far as fun factor. Basically a go kart with a massive V8 and side pipes ... what else does a guy need?

True happiness endures, fun fades after you park it. I’m a fan of both :)
