Sweet. I’ve had their hammer hangers sitting in my shed for like 9 months lol. Been dying to get them on but still throwing suspension shit around my head and don’t want to pull any triggers yet until I’m done being on furlough for good.

You’ll like em. Make sure you use their bits. They are quality bits and are a life saver. After grinding off each head, use the small bit to drill the center out a bit then switch to the bigger bit to drill out the bolt.

I’m sure I will, I have read nothing but positive reviews on them. And yeah I did opt to have the drill bits included. The shop I normally go to thankfully has experience with getting those PITA rivets out. Once I’m back to work and life is stable again, I’ll proceed. Thankfully I’m financially well, but with the amount of surprises and setbacks

Can you break down the benefits of the crosstube for me?

I have the BAMF hangers, and saw they offer a crosstube plate to bolt on so you can weld in a crosstube. but not sure whether that would be beneficial.

It adds rigidity to the rear end by tying the frame rails together in an additional spot - from what Ive read.

Yup, what he said. In the 2 times I’ve now driven my truck since install, I do see a difference. Drives much smoother and feels like the rear is tightened up

Sweet, thanks for the info guys. Sounds like it's something that I probably want to order eventually...

Just dropped a hefty amount on a switch panel, radio stuff, and my yearly registration so it'll have to wait.

Another question...are our OEM bilsteins serviceable whatsoever? like even the bushings? Or once they're toast, they're toast? Was hoping that I could keep em as a spare set for when my kings eventually need to be serviced, but the front coilover bushings are a bit deformed, and my truck is significantly heavier now than when the OEM suspension was on. would it be a bad idea to use those for 2-3 weeks for regular daily driving when my Kings need an eventual rebuild? Or would that be a bad idea due to the weaker spring and deformed bushings?

I don’t know for sure but I’d bet that they could be sent in for service....

I inquired directly with Bilstein about this a couple years ago, aaand unfortunately they don’t provide rebuilding services. I’m not sure if any of the handy vets here have taken these apart. Bushings I’d like to say could be replaced at least

I kept mine for that exact purpose. Even though one of the rears was pretty much totally blown out, it will at least be driveable for a few weeks on the road haha

Thanks, guys. I think that makes sense in terms of preload and that likely being better for me with the added weight I have compared to getting extra lift from a standard top hat spacer. Now I just need to find a set for a decent price. I wish my dad had some extra aluminum on hand, they look really easy to make on a lathe.

Looks great, but that stance would make me lose sleep about my wheel bearings.

Yuppers as Island Cruiser stated it's a TC-2" kit up front rear is a spacer. Also have a set of McNeal 2" fenders for the front to hopefully keep my side windows clean the rear fenders will just be cut for clearance...

I’m from the Northeast where all the wheeling is big rocks and sticky mud. I don’t know what long travel is. :annoyed:
