Just confirming. Will 285/75r16 fit on stock front suspension, add a leaf rear and stock TRD wheels?

It'll fit, but it'll be a very tight fit. Like barely 1cm of clearance from the spindles.

Can't say if it'll rub elsewhere, as I had gotten the cab mount chop and front side of the fender trimmed before I had those tires mounted.

I always had 17’s with the 285’s. But that combo should work as well. However, the BS on the trd wheels will be the issue if there is one. Only because he would need a more negative stance. So you may need spacers, or get new wheels

edit. You’ll have to cut some plastic in the front lower part of the wheel well. Very very minor. Also, I just realized you said stock suspension. I don’t know man. A minor lift is what I was gauging my reply on.

Wait, are you talking stock TRD Pro/Baja suspension or stock Tacoma suspension? Your truck is listed as an '07 TRD OR DCSB.

You'll need to do the pinch weld mod at the least. And cab mount chop if you plan to off road and not rub. Currently running that setup

I also did a fair amount of plastic trimming. Just little bits here and there. 0 rub at full lock and only very occasional minor rub when offroading and stuffed

I'm just hoping that I don't have rubbing when I move up from OEM 17x7.5 wheels with 10mm offset to aftermarket 17x8 with -10 offset (keeping the same 32's - 255/75R17).
Unlike my 1st gen, I don't feel like cutting plastic or messing with a pinch weld. Definitely no CMC for me.

Currently with the Baja suspension plus 1/4" spacer up top, I rub on RokBlox mud flaps at full compression at half lock.

What @JuanitoBunito and @scootter82 said. CMC, flatten pinch weld, trim lower corners of the fender flares and heat gun or trim the fender liners where the pinch weld got flattened. You’ll only rub if you full send like @BVita

Lol I considered that too but I didn’t want to have to reroute the air intake stuff. One of the few times in my life that timing worked out in my favor, the Fend-X Liners were releasing around the time I was making room for 295’s.

    Did you reroute yours?

The stock pro wheels have enough back spacing for the tires to clear the control arms or will I need wheels spacers?

You should not. I’m on 285’s and I’m fine with just a tad of minor plastic trimming.

You should be fine. You’ll have to trim what I said. If you plan to off-road anything other than small stuff then you’ll have to do the pinch weld and a cmc. Normal driving should be fine

It should clear the UCA, if it rubs it’ll be VERY minor. My 295’s only rub the UCA when reversing at full lock going through a dip. Reason why is because when reversing, the truck’s weight shifts forward
