got a dealer offer of $27k this morning. And more provided I finish putting it back together. "Where are the back seats?" Oh ya lol, in storage cause I did the rear seat delete deck. But this dealer's VP is relinquishing a 2021 Tundra TRD Pro next month, in Lunar Rock color! 6600 miles on it. They are supposed to call me when it's available. They said there is a $2k trade in tax credit towards the new vehicle. That puts me in the $30k minimum mark I wanted. So if they keep their word and I'm fist in line on that. Done deal!

Also dropped price here to $38k for my truck

lol i'm not doing any major work like that! The did say they didn't want the topper, bedrug, or Joying 9" Android headunit. I've been detailing the truck since. Will give updates on what all comes out and is for sale.

 

i'm surprised they didn't want the stock exhaust manifolds lol. I told them it had long tube headers on it! But I do need to re-add the SAIS trash back on, and retune it after.

I'm guessing it did and they never took it down. I emailed him and got no reply.

 

Actually he just emailed me back and said it's still available and it's that cheap due to the 157k mileage. I told him to just take it to the dealership and they'll buy it outright at his asking price lol

Dang! I've seen a couple at auction for $120k+ and this is even more crazy!

 

You could buy a new '22, Tundra, a new '22 Tacoma TRD Pro, and still have enough money left over to fill up both tanks.

 

but could you do tank turn donuts?!?!

 

If they give me $135k trade-in on the 2015, I'd eat the massive taxes on buying that R1T.

 

Thinking it over, I'm probably gonna accept the dealer offer of $27k. Try and talk them up to $29k. Correct me if I'm wrong, but talking it over with my dad, if I trade in the truck, it lowers the taxable amount I'd pay on the new Tundra purchase? if that's rights, that's huge, cause Tax in Aurora, CO is nutz! Also I wouldn't have to pay the sells tax on selling my truck privately. Again, Aurora, CO sales tax is nutz. And if I were to sell privately, probably get $37-38k. So if I sold privately, and bought the Tundra at full price, I'd get a double whammy of stupid sales tax that would just about equal the difference between trade in price and private sale price...

Does that make sense? Is that logic right?

Ya man. The first dealer I went to offered $24k and said, "no insult to you, but when we sell it, we can't list that it's supercharged or a Baja. It will list as a regular 4x4." ya ok lol. pass. The dealer that offered $27k were actually giddy over it lol
