Forgot to post this when i hit it last weekend, but figure better late than never.

 

Another dealer another $24k offer. I've made a counter to raise it to my asking or lower the price of Tundra. We'll see. At least they're working with me remotely.

So due to the mileage getting close to that 100,000 miles mark, it being a limited market vehicle, and the fact that most buyers would assume that a Baja truck had been driven fairly hard, and with high maintenance items like a supercharger and upgraded suspension it would just make people nervous. So all that being said my used car buyer is a lot closer to around 24k for the truck.

 

Something smells. Really the only part of that message that matters from the dealer is the last sentence...."...my used car buyer is a lot closer AROUND 24K for the truck." That translates into they are offering you much less than 24K for the truck.

Try shopping the Tacoma around to a few used car dealerships offering it up for them to just buy it outright and see what you get for a price.

I ended up sending them a screenshot of the financing I've already worked out with my bank. Which I figured by truck price, minus trade in desired, plus taxes. Said this is what I'm working with. Raise the trade in value or lower tundra price. They came back and said $27k. I'm going in tomorrow to check it out

 

I need big boy tires. It's just unfair at this point.

Well I did it. Mine has gone off to dealer land. Hopefully to find a good home with someone who appreciates it as much as I did!

Is the TRD Baja T/X coil compatible with the standard Bilstein 6112?

My coils are in great shape and looking to just replace the shock itself.

Next question, does anyone know if/where just the 6112 shock is sold without coil/top hat/etc, since I can reuse all my current parts?

 

Only comes as a kit with shocks and coils.
