So Basically that's spec'd as rare as it can get. Maybe single digit production numbers in manual?

Did anyone else's pro come without the oem tow package? Mine didn't, but so far every one I've seen has it.

I had tow package but I think I requested it when I ordered it.

Yes, tow package here. I thought that was pretty standard?

I did too lol. No oil cooler, no trans cooler, no tow hitch or 7 pin harness. Hell, not even a 4 pin trailer harness is on this thing lol. I have a custom trans cooler setup now, oil cooler will be next on the to-do list.

I imagine the alternator is probably the lower output version as well.

Interesting. Maybe the true '15 Pro unicorn is the one without the tow package?

The fact that some of them came without a tow package or a trailer harness is ridiculous. There is a really nice white TRD pro in Colorado with 22K miles that I was thinking of getting. Unfortunately, you can't tow with it...which is the whole point of having a truck in the first place.

Desert Racer! That would have been the TX Baja. Toyota probably ran out of the parts for the tow package while in production, or used trucks that were built minus the tow package to finish up the Pro prouction.

No tow package on mine. It does the hitch receiver and 4-pin connector though.

4-pin would mean it was user (or dealer) installed with something like a Curt inline plug (or worse, like on my 1st gen with wire taps and no fuses).

I just looked mine up there, and it shows the tow package. However, it shows my truck as "2015 Tacoma BASE" but then lists the "Trd Pro package".

That's interesting, mine shows the TRD Pro package under the "port or factory installed" section.

Also surprised to see how early mine is -- ordered 7/2014, driven off the lot Sep 1 2014.

I wouldn't; when I replaced my OE "6112" with a new set of 6112, the style of spring perch, and the bottom wrap of the coil was different enough to warrant just going with new springs. The difference between the OE springs and the Bilstein springs was negligible. I will also say the juice isn't worth the squeeze attempting to get those top hats off on the old shock. I had one shock shaft sheer at the hat and the other seize almost completely.

How were you able to look it up. Just curious, I do have my window sticker but I’m too lazy right now to go get it……very long day for me today.
