Swapping out my Frankenstein ADS-Fox coilovers for a set of kings. Also working on a frame plate from the cab mount forward and gussets the rear bypass mounts and ties into the bump stop mount...

Need some ideas fellas.. I'm in the final stages of getting my wheels back together after powder coating.

Thanks to Maine's unhealthy obsession with using as much calcium chloride and road salt as fucking possible, the surface between the rings and wheels was pretty rough. As are all the M8 threaded bolt holes. I'm sure you can see where this is going...

So far I've stripped out 3 of those bolts, hardly past finger tight. Two wheels down two more to go.

Any thoughts on how I repair this cluster? I'm wondering if I can put some rtv in the hole, then thread the bolt in, let it set and snug it up. Not sure if I can helicoil these due to how close they are to the bead. Not even sure if they make them in M8x1.0

    Nope, M8x1.0

There are companies that make helicoils in that size. Probably the way I should go. But getting tires mounted & balanced tomorrow AM so Ill run a dab of RTV as a temporary fix

Yes I did. Chased them by hand. Honestly I think that might have done more harm than good welcome to the salt belt

I ordered some helicoils today, should be good to go once they get here

I have these new shocks with no springs or box. I'm asking $200 plus shipping. These are supposed to be for the baja. I bought from the Toyota dealer. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Springs are actually the same size, just different spring rates. But you're right that using Baja springs on the Pro shocks or vice versa will change ride height. That said, the part numbers on his shocks show that they are, indeed, Baja shocks, not Pro shocks. So you could swap your original springs over to these and you'd be good to go.

The 5100’s are indeed smaller shocks than the 6112/Baja/Pro shocks

5100's are quite different from these Baja shocks which are based off of the Bilstein 6112, not 5100. The 5100 is setup to use the stock Toyota springs. The 6112 (and the Bilstein TRD Baja/Pro shock) is setup to use a more standard, 3" dia coil spring.
