After talking with my salesman at the dealer I wanted to share the information he gave me in case you are wondering about when a TRD PRO may hit the lot near you.

Toyota was at the dealer yesterday updating them to not price out the truck or quote since it is not known what color or equipment will be allocated to them. Now I ordered mine.....this means I will be getting the exact color and equipment I placed an order on. These trucks, and the 4Runner/Tundra, are built in special quantities and Toyota cannot provide a specific time/date for build. "They will build them at the factory when they want" was what the Toyota rep told my salesman/dealer. Could show up this week, could be 12 weeks.

Basically dealers will be allocated 1-2 total. If you want a specific color, or equipment, or a guarantee you will be getting one period, you MUST PLACE AN ORDER. Otherwise a TRD PRO model may or may not be coming to a dealer near you.

I also DID CONFIRM that the tow package is on my order and it can be had with this despite previous posts of no tow package available.

From what others have posted about them are they worth it?
Not only being rapped on the price, but also the long wait time and maybe not getting what you want.
Any Toyota truck is expensive as far as I am concerned.

If I would be buying now instead of last year at this time I just could not with a sound mine pay that kind of price, yes I can afford it.

I am very happy with what I have and don't feel like I missed out by not waiting on the Pro.

I'm all for anyone that wants one to buy it, it's your money.

I somewhat agree. In general I love what the Pro has to offer because I'm not (yet) someone who's going to completely mod out my truck. A proper lift is in my future, but even the Pro doesn't sit much higher, it just has the upgraded shocks. I wouldn't pay the premium for it and deal with the anxiety of ordered-but-not-received, but I do love that Inferno paint.

From what i read its 2 inches on the front on the new TRD PRO's, but most likely with time would be 1.5inch.

Now I know why they dropped the Baja and came out with the Pro. Basically the same truck except one color and cosmetics but they can create a hype and charge MSRP instead of the almost $4k discount I got.

Well I think your the exception with getting that kind of deal on your Baja! But yes it seems like they will make even less of the pro's, so the price wil be hard to negotiate!!

The TRD pro is a waste of money in my mind. It doesn't even have anything better than the off road. In my mind the baja was better executed.

The same can probably be said by an SR5 owner when the TRD OR came out.

"Have" to order it, all this hype over a 2" lift is mind boggling.

the hype is over the "limited" quantity appeal, not the amount of lift. all this hatred in every thread about the damn thing is boggling
