Exactly this. I had first dibs on a ZR2, wanted desperately to love it and not only was it meh, I really didn't like it for too many reasons to list. Went with a Pro, which on paper might look like it can't stand up to the top tier Colorado but who drives or has to live with paper every day? Loving my Pro and know I made, for me, the right decision. And if a coupla years down the road I move on to something else at least I won't be stuck with a much depreciated resale turd.

HID/LED headlight upgrades are easy on 3rd gen with projectors. I bet eventually the Tacoma will come from factory with LEDs

Radiator? I Haven't researched to much into the baby duramax but it looked as if he blew a head gasket. Unless the radiator somehow cools engine oil? Why all the oil? wtf?

I just read what the Owner wrote, sound like all the red transmission fluid that was all over the driveway was due to where the transmission lines attach to the radiator, guess they are still waiting on some new lines and a radiator.

There is no way they are waiting until 2021 (which looks like if I’m reading right means 2022) to redesign the 4Runner, I love it now, but it is getting a bit stale already.

    The Rav redesign isn’t right. It’s 19 not 18.

Exactly the same kind of updates that went through my mind the moment I read it.
Don't forget about the updated "BRO" series side decal so that the world knows that you paid too much for neato off road parts.

All joking aside, I hope they release something really cool and include some more actual performance.

Doubtful, if Pros havent historically come with anything new but suspension tweaks (albeit some nice ones). Ironman edition had the supercharger, but also doesnt seem likely with emissions testing, and its a bit early in the game to dump the brand new, multi-platform engine. Tacoma though appears as though they are going through an awful lot of updates since its introduction-- parts counting must be a nightmare for barely 3 MYs and already having multiple tailgate locking mechanisms, lights, sliding windows, consoles and buttons, driveshafts, and whatnots that I cant even think of.

But back to the teaser pic... anyone else notice that the pro-badge might be missing?

I’m calling it right now, IF it’s a TRD pro update then the Tacoma is gonna have a factory snorkel

If it’s a new package like limited Pro then idk maybe just a new gril and exhaust option

They mean 2018 like Fall 2018 as a 2019. Same as Camry that’s a 2018 model that came out fall 2017, that’s why it’s under the 2017 column.

I’m surprised they are supposedly letting the 4Runner sit as is until supposedly 2021 (2022 model year) that will make 12 years with that generation, it’s already out of date.
