If toyota doesn't give it powered seats, a sunroof delete option and fix the tranny issue then potential buyers like me will go elsewhere.

I mean, its not a lot to ask for is it?

The Ranger raptor looks like it will come to the states and will be much more powerful and will actually tow.

I hope the taco gets something.

You think so? Go YouTube and Google the shit box 2.3l ecoboost. They are replacing those engines @ 10k miles on some cars. They call it ECO Boom. Haha. Go get yourself a Ford Ranger.

So Toyota can't make reliability AND more performance?
You respond with your opinion follow it up with these odd fanboy "facts" about their business model.
Sorry but Toyota is plenty capable of making performance along with reliability and good resale.

Where did you hear this? I'd love to pick up a 4Runner with the existing 4.0 and future factory Apple CarPlay integration for either myself or my wife in a year or two. I'm hoping it doesn't switch generations until then.

Hope they stick on a TRD engineered supercharger on all 3 and call it a day. Better yet, sell it as a standalone as well so I can drop one into mine.

Who am I kidding, Toyota will never do that after the 2nd Gen's supercharger went tits up. :pout:

The ranger raptor will not have a better tow weight than the Tacoma. The raptor is like 5k or something. Badass off road truck maybe the best you can buy stock. Not the best option for towing.

God, I love these type of threads! This is right up there with the “what’s the chatter on the 2019s” thread that came out immediately after the 2018s hit the ground, just for pure entertainment value.

    Mostly stuff I built.
I am going with the addition of KDSS to them. They are probably just going to trickle down some Land Cruiser technology to the Pro models.

Theres nothing wrong with the auto transmission on the 3rd gen. Its just not what a few people expected. It works perfectly fine for the rest of the owners.

I'm sorry but sometimes it almost seems live some folks live in another universe when it comes to what they're hoping for from the Tacoma (not just in this thread). There isn't going to be some beast engine put it, sure as hell not a diesel, nor a supercharger. What year are some folks still living in?

The only likely major changes could be a hybrid engine, maybe finally disc brakes, and maybe an 8 speed transmission.

The Pro is already Sunroof Delete, if anything they may add a Sunroof Option so they can ask a higher price.

Powered seats, better rims, better suspension, better tranny gearing, and more availability would be on my list.

The 2017 Ford Raptor crew cab is rated at towing 8,000 lbs, but what MPG will this off-road get when towing a 7,000 lbs trailer at 70 MPH on our 100-mile highway loop? Granted, the Ford Raptor is a high-performance off-road truck and towing is not one of its strengths. Still, any pickup truck should do many jobs, and towing is big part of any truck’s repertoire.

I think the ZR2 is 5k cause of that magnetic suspension, our Tacoma's are only 3500 without the Tow Package.
