Eco boom, lol. I wouldn't buy one with the 2.3 in it, no way. Too much stress on that little engine.

I hope they bring over the 5 cylinder power stroke which is used worldwide minus the states.

I would buy a diesel taco in a heartbeat.

    http://www.motortrend.com/news/spied-ford-ranger-raptor-caught-u-s-soil/

    I think they'll have one.

True but I would like it as an option on a non pro, just to keep my options open. There is no way I'll pay 50k for one.

I think it will be a new off-road concept we haven’t seen yet that may take the spot of the FJ Cruiser.

But maybe they will be teasing the next gen 4Runner... current model is in it’s 9th year, and hasn’t gotten the updates that the rest of the Toyota line have, leading me to think a redesign is imminent, despite what that post 133 said.

Could just be they are bringing back the TRD Pro Tundra, which Toyota previously discontinued as a 2018 model.

Toyota is a VERY conservative company. Don't hold your breath.

Most likely it'll be the RAV4 Adventure PRO Series

5th Gen 4Runners are selling quite well. Toyota can milk it for a few more years.

    Sales Report Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_4Runner

    2nd Gen Tacoma 2005-2015
    2nd Gen Tundra 2007-Present
    2nd Gen Sequoia 2008-Present

Maybe you're right. I think I just wish Toyota would be more proactive. They really don't have much competition because their products are so awesome. I wish someone would step up and start making comprable stuff that would literally hurt sales so that they wood innovate a little faster. It already seems like they are starting to get more stuff planned on the horizon with a Tacoma since Chevy is starting to make an okay product and the ranger is on the horizon. A toyota exec actually admitted it.

A LOT of people sure complain about it ... That doesn't make it seem very fine.

For me, part of the enjoyment of owning a Toyota is that I don’t have to wonder:

    - how soon until the “new car” crisp handling, and solid feel will go away.
-how long until the car begins to cost me more money in repairs
    - how bad of a depreciation hit I’ll take.
    - etc...

I had my fill of domestic makes years ago. I love how appliance-like Toyotas are. You just drive them, show them a little maintenance love, and they will always take care of you in return. Especially when it’s time to sell or trade.

People on forums complain about everything. Anytime someone posts about a problem with there 3rd gen someone always has to comment Turd Gen. 2nd gen has numerous issues also but you don’t hear anyone stating turd gen do you? Is it the best transmission ever? No but works just fine.

They will probably put a better set of tires on the updated Pro.

I’m doubtful you’ll see a redesign Tundra if anything it will be a updated Pro Tundra is my guess. We will see Thursday and all be disappointed again.

Insider info is very common when the vehicle is made domestically--they get the parts from another supplier after all.

I sincerely hope that is just an option, and any update goes farther than that. What percentage of Pro drivers would actually want/need an ugly snorkel sticking out of their truck?
