No dog in this fight, Personally like the look of the pro, i hate the exposed screws on the BAMF... Both not worth the price of admission anyways....

U can get the pro for $375
I personally don't think that's a lot of money for a product that changes the looks of the truck tremendously

I like the overall design aspect of the PRO grill... it just has too much of an overbite. If Toyota made it flush with the front of the truck.. I'd get one. Unfortunately the protrusion breaks it for me.

I had the bamf and ended up with a pro grille.

I like both, my fingers just got itchy and I hit the buy button on the pro grille so the decision was made lol

If you are planning to change out the bumpers etc to steel and make the truck more rugged I think the bamf is more fitting. Otherwise it does kinda look out of place. I also didn't like the fact that it didn't look like it ventilated well. Holes looked Tiny but I doubt it mattered.

Lastly, My bamf did start to rust around the screws though......

I want the BAMF but I was HOPING their demand would go down and they would have like a 2-3 week lead time instead of a 6 month. I will probably wind up going with the Pro unfortunately.

6 months is crazy I waited 2-3 months and I thought that was crazy. I bought mine as soon as preorders went live.

Construction wise bamf > pro in terms of durability but bamf has potential for rust so I don't know.

I concur. The ruggedness of the grill definitely matches plate armor. example:

    P.S
All the whiners about rusting on the grill::: ITS METAL FOLKS...(do I like it? no, but it's not as bad as people are making it out to be)
Take a peek under your truck frame, you are bound to find some rust down there too.:der:

It really isn't bad and is somewhat blown out of proportion but being at the face of the truck any signs of dripping rust stains is somewhat unsightly. Supposedly some Amazon rubber gromets can help but I never had a chance to cop some before I sold the grille.

How did you remove and re-attach the letters for color-match painting?

I think a lot of people confuse rotting, powdery rust with a little simple surface oxidation. With that being said, I like the OEM look of my pro grill. It is almost like it was designed by professionals.

Mine came off with just a little prying. I use a plastic pry tool. I was surprised to find they were held on with adhesive similar to the stuff that holds the badges on and just a little worried they would hold when I put them back on because it was below 40 degrees. Been a couple weeks and they seemed tight when I checked them the other day.

I picked up this set of pry tools for another project on my wife's car. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZRJCYQ2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I like the Pro grill as well but feel the cost is ridiculous. I think it was a bad choice for Toyota to put a chrome grill on an Off Road vehicle. I think its the worst looking part of the truck on the TRD Off Road I ordered. So to keep from spending to much on something now that I may change my mind on in the near future I am going to rattle can my chrome grill flat black and paint the Toyota T in a sand color to match my QS Tacoma.

I had my TRD SE FJ for almost 8 years before I finally settled on the Expedition One bumpers and its first mods. Now she is heavily modded. The forums were a great help in gathering knowledge on my build. I pick my Tacoma up next week and I look forward to starting the small mods.

I'm a graphic designer and think the BAMF grill looks great. The Pro grill is fine but it's so overplayed.
