If someone can do that, they shouldn't even be asking. lol Well, I think we did payments to keep our credit score up, I can't remember why, but the payments are somewhere around or over $600.

Doesn't the warranty not allow people to lift, lower, or change the suspension at all?

    I didn't touch my 2017 SR because I thought that I couldn't.

I have a 2022 now and got the OR so that it would have better shocks.

I didn't think the features on the PRO warranted that kind of price increase, but I figured the warranty not allowing changes was the reason they are able to raise the price that high.

I didn't think that I would need to drive any faster down the trails, so I was fine with not getting the better Pro shocks.

Maybe its the MTM they don't have. I though the two were linked. I could very well be wrong.

No. If your mod causes the issue they don't have to cover it, and anything you add obviously isn't covered. You can mod all you want, but you are taking on risk. There are laws to protect you, but it can be expensive if pursued incorrectly.

Yikes. You can get a new one for that. If you will travel, I would ask around for MSRP dealerships or less, and you can at least have new for that price.

Not linked as far as I know, unless that is something new in the last year or so.

Well, I stand corrected then. I'll edit my previous post to reflect this.

The MTM is available, but it is an add-on.

Right, but if you pop back to the "discussion" it was all in reference to a TRD OR being 10k cheaper than a Pro because some sh*twits want to compare a base Off Road to the Pro instead of matching features. I added all those goodies to the TRD OR in the builder to show the true price difference as closely as possible a few pages back.

I fully admit you can get an OR for less, mod it to outperform a Pro, and likely be close to the same cost or a bit cheaper, but trying to compare the base OR to the Pro is an exercise in mental gymnastics. It just isn't a rational comparison.

I love the Radar on my Automatic OR. The headlights auto-dim, if I get sleepy and drift the car tells me, and the cruise control is able to brake/pace behind other cars. It also has collision protection. It is amazing.

My step-daughter was supposed to get a RAV4 with the anti-collision. I was willing to pay for it in full with the money Grandad left me. Some of these millennials are so damn lazy that they would put off car shopping, even when the car is free.

So what happens? She had a Ford Focus and drove it into the ass end of a Tundra. Then the dash broke her ankle and almost cut her foot all the way off. Now she can't even drive. o_O

Completely agree. Base model to a PRO isn't a comparison. My OR came fully loaded and with the add-ons I wanted, and was about 5k less than the PRO at the time. I think I have everything the PRO has except the better suspension, wheels and tires, grill, skid plate, and special badging. 5K would go fast trying to get the rest of the stuff added. I went with the OR because I wanted to make it how I wanted it to be, and not something right off the lot. In the stock form, the PRO is the winner hands down.

Sounds like you've got a sweet truck. Do you have a build pages somewhere?

I agree with your assessment. If you want it dolled up out of the box, the Pro has it all. If you want to mod, and pick and choose, it's a waste to get a Pro and change all the stuff you paid a premium for.

Interesting dialogue but this last sentence sums it up for sure!

No build page. I am pretty happy with the truck. It matches what I had envisioned it to be in my head before I started looking for one. It has everything I wanted on it, including some of the things I didn't know about until I found this site.

I saw a 3rd gen F-150 Raptor today in a nice non metalic blue shade that thing looked damn good under full overcast skies.

It's my work truck, blew the motor on my second gen and had little time to wait. Had just bought the wife a new rav so the sales manager did what he could for me to get me back in business asap

Yeah, between my son and me, we have three pickups; there is my Gen 3 Tacoma, his Gen 2 Tacoma, and then...

His 1995 Ford F-150 with the (almost literally) bullet proof 4.9 liter I6 engine. If either of our Tacoma's are out of commission for whatever reason, the F-150, with over 200,000 miles, is always there to help out. :)

Yes , there’s that too. This was not at a Toyota dealership either. So I didn’t feel great about a person that didn’t really know the truck as well as he should being a salesman and all. It was at a BMW Dealership
