    Touchy subject.

Here’s my humble take- if you buy the OR, put a nice suspension on it and some wheels, you’re going to have a better performing truck than the pro.

However, you don’t have the seats, sunroof, hood, and grill.

So if you’re looking for performance and can turn a wrench, it might be a good idea to just get the OR. But if you want aesthetic, and don’t really plan on upgrading the suspension, get the Pro.

Just remember one thing- it’s your money. Do what you want to do, and enjoy whatever you buy, because either way, you have a sick ass truck.

Mine doesn’t have thousands in mods so that isn’t applicable in my case. That and I am not planning on selling my OR anytime soon.

I might have considered a pro more seriously if pro colors were exclusive. Well, except Gatorade green.

I ended up liking Lunar after I saw it in person.

2015 was the first Pro, so you can go back 7.

I'm old enough to remember back in the day when people argued Integra GSR was the same as Integra type R and getting a type R was a waste when you could easily make a GSR perform better than a Type R for less money.

It's human nature to think what you have is right and the best choice and the other option is wrong.

So in this scenario the Pro costs $2k more, not $10k.

    $2K plus the initial $10K.

No, price difference was 10k at initial purchase.

Anyway, who wants an old Pro at 40K when I can get a brand new OR with factory warranty for the same price or a little more (assuming MSRP for all has risen a little during that time)

    50-40 = 10
    40-32 = 8

The difference between those two numbers is 2. I'm not sure how else to explain this.

Yes it will cost you 10k more to get it, but when it's all said and done that difference goes to 2 in the examples discussed above. The 10 doesn't just disappear into thin air unless the rate of depreciation is double on the Pro vs OR.

Wasn't the type R a 5 lug vs the other Integras being 4 lug?

Honda should have found a way to bring the JDM bumpers and lights to the US on the type R. Would have really set it apart from the other integras.

Definitely. The difference maker is the skeewp. You could never buy a brand new hood and paint with the hood scoop and reskewp the difference.

Maintaining a Pro with factory parts is likely going to be more expensive to maintain that resale though. Primarily those Fox shocks, which need to be rebuilt at 40k miles according to Fox. To my knowledge, the factory OR Bilstein shocks do not have that requirement and you could probably replace them with brand new shocks for about the same price as shipping off the Fox's to be rebuilt and shipping them back.

And with the Fox shocks off to be rebuilt what do you do with the truck in the meantime, keep it out of commission or rotate in a spare set to get it back on the road until the factory shocks come back?

    No thanks.

The factory OR Bilsteins can be upgraded for good for less than $500.

I paid 40,500 for my pro brand new in 18. Or at the time could be had for 34-35k. I knew I couldn’t upgrade the or to what the pro had for that much, plus the time and energy. Bought the pro, threw some 33s on it stock, and never looked back!

It’s your money, spend it how ya like. They are both great vehicles.

I don't like to upgrade brand new parts much so the Pro made sense to me. Slapped some new tires on it and called it done.

Combine that with no manual OR DC in Canada made it an easy decision. The price difference between a OR Premium and a manual Pro wasn't much.

Do what makes sense to you.... Don't put too much thought into what a bunch of punters on the internet think.

They are both awesome trucks stock. Even the "bad" OR suspension.

For me, the pro was not a consideration since I had no desire to spend that much again on a vehicle. At $38k and change OTD in Florida, I’m really happy with my Off-road. Spent less than $1k on eibach suspension and Icon add a leaf and is all I wanted. Off course, I have added some other mods, but those are things I would’ve also added to a pro if I would’ve went with one. As for the audio, is not the best I’ve heard, but the radio with the addition of one of those apple CarPlay wireless gadgets is pretty nice and convenient.
