So, I just ordered the 2022 TRD PRO.. and now realizing the mileage must be awful compared to the OR given the extra lift. Anyone know how bad it is?

    Negligible.

You are right though, lift = drag.

But you will have one of the coolest trucks out there, so screw the mileage, enjoy the truck when it gets to you.

    4 run, 2 don't
You'll end up with larger tires, regardless of model which will affect gas mileage anyway.

Everyone knows BIGGER TIRES MORE BETTER

Lift barely ever makes a difference in real world for mpg. It’s the tires and added weight that kills mpg with vehicles. The 1” larger stock tires might hurt it a small bit. They all suck in the mpg department though so I wouldn’t worry about it either way.

The E rated tires did worse to my mpg than the lift ever did.. You'll be fine OP, just send it

All of you are correct. And I didn’t get the PRO for practicality. I got it to be a jackass and have fun.

Toyota's website lists the base OR at 19/24 MPG and the Pro at 17/21 MPG. I average a little higher than the stated MPG on my 2020 Pro and I don't baby the accelerator.

Bottom line - you are getting an awesome truck, IMHO. Enjoy it!!

FWIW, I installed a 1in front and rear lift on my OR while currently running the 265/70/16. No change in mpg at all. Now like others have said, I will be getting 265/75 tires soon so that will probably have a small impact on mpg

They both get pretty bad fuel economy for their size and engine performance. Don’t worry about it and just drive the thing and enjoy it.

The 19/24 OR was probably for 2 wheel drive compared to 4x4 for the Pro.

Where does it say this on the website? The official stickers I think show the same mileage as the OR..?

Yeah l think the Pro and OR have the same MPG when comparing the same configurations.

Could you be looking at the TRD offroad 4x2? They do make that truck, mostly for the southern states.

265/75-16 is what I run. They are about 1" taller than the stock 265/70-16s. Your too-fast speedometer will now read correctly with the taller tires but your accurate odometer will read about 4% less with the taller tires. Too calculate the true gas mileage, add 4% to the odometer reading.
