I'm sure there's a logical explanation to his departure from our community. After all, So many went to bat on his behalf.

Maybe if i wrapped my base in plastic it wouldnt have depreciated 5k in 3 years.

A bunch of us said it too and we were all promptly asked to leave the thread. I guess posting for the sake of discussion is off limits under certain circumstances. Go figure.

Pretty funny, just did a nationwide search on Autotrader.com for Tacoma Baja's, found two for sale at well over the price for TRD OR's. No doubt they'll get the bigger price also. The Baja's and Pro's will keep their value over OR's.

What I can't figure out is why Tacoma people denigrate the Baja/Pro so much. Where does the butthurt come from? Hard to figure.

Not so much butthurt, but the fact that they are overpriced for what you get. You can get a PreRunner/Sport/OR and put as good if not better components for less dough.

Just thought I've give my .02 input on this thread then I'm leaving you guys to discuss away and bash without me. Yes this is my truck, yes its a quick sale, yes I'm taking a hit on it, yes it was a dumb move for this to happen, pretty much everything is correct.

The truck was purchased with the full intent of driving it to 300k miles or more. That said, i wanted it to look good when it got to the mileage, hence the vehicle wrap. It was not purchased to keep the value of the truck up money wise, but through my eyes and not wanting to see chips and scratches on my pride and joy. The tint was done because who wants to drive a vehicle without it. However due to medical reasons in the family I need to put money away somewhere else than a 40k truck. This thing is amazing and I love everything about it, but money is needed in other places at the moment so I am downsizing big time. When the time comes to get a truck again, I will be back for a Tacoma. And yes, I am a big car guy, I usually get the best of whatever model I'm driving. Would it have been cheaper to get the base tacoma and upgrade it? Definately, but you don't get the looks and attention like you do in a bright orange Pro. Thats what I enjoy.

I would appreciate anybody's help, I did pay $42k for it with all the accessories and my ebay reserve is my payoff amount. Chances are likely I'm getting into a smaller commuter car...but I will be back

And just for any other car guys, this was my last car I sold with 150k on it in order to purchase the TRD Pro

    20140724_005111553_iOS_21d5d1dd8a36636df1a1a115036d77efa1c7a286.jpg

And I sold this in order to get my red Audi Avant

    100_4103_7c47d9f8413cf7cd71c41f6d1cafcc35f4e4090a.jpg

You guys have fun without me, I'd like to say it was nice knowing ya, but half of you were dicks who wanted a vehicle built your way. Those people proved to be right this time around, but it wasn't like I wanted to slam it on 30 inch wheels and TVs in the headlights. Try being just a little nicer next time.
