I remember dealers marking up the 2016 when it first hit lots. Saying there was a $500 demand fee since they couldn't keep them on the lot. It happens Joe! Doesn't mean YOU have to pay it, but plenty of idiots do! SoCal is a prime place for this idiocracy!!!!

MSRP is Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price. A suggestion is not a requirement. It does not mean "dealer shall...."

ha! that is a sweet truck man. traded in my 2011 on this one so I'm
hoping for the best with the bugs so many are seeing. I had the weird vibe
and clunking but new leaf packs & drums cleared that up completely. Would
be nice to put a SC on it, had one previously but for me, they just mean
    trouble. :burnrubber:

Just so we're clear.....you now agree that dealers ask more than MSRP for Tacomas right? Especially the PRO

Not in all cases and not everywhere

I paid MSRP yesterday for my pro with no accessories. Don't let dealers tell you that just because the vehicle is in high demand that you should pay extra. Several dealers that I talked to said that Toyota frowns upon added dealer markups and you should report them. That being said, it does suck when a dealer loads a several thousand dollars worth of accessories on at the port that you may/may not want on the truck to begin with.

You guys looking at Pros are lucky.. I guess everyone doesn't remember back in 2015 when the 16s came out... they were ALL sold over msrp. Hell I got MSRP and when I went to pick up the truck they raised the price even after I put a down payment on it. I raised stickin hella at the sales mgr Monday AM when the service waiting room was stacked with peeps. Still ended up paying $1K over ... some "fee" basically it was to pay both sales reps commission...

Here's a real post from a recent buyer.
$43.9 plus TTL for my Pro (auto). Comparing OTD shouldn't matter because taxes differ per state.

Mine was a SE States-came with:
    Tonneau cover
    Predator Steps
    Glass Break Sensor
    TRD filter
    All weather mats
    Front tint
    Nitro tires
    Platinum service
    Locks and touchup paint
    Bed lock

Though a hair more than sticker, came with several K in dealer mods, even when calculated at their cost.
