I'm new to TW, so I apologize in advance for not being able to find this in another post (if it exists). I was told by a dealer today that the TRD skid plate won't fit on a 2020 TRD Sport. Is this true? I could swear I've seen it on other sport models... maybe they weren't 2020 models. Is there any truth to this? Does anyone with a 2020 sport have this installed? Pics?

    Thanks in advance!

The reason he said that is because of the air dam that comes on the sport. If you have them take off the air dam it will fit just fine (had one on my 2018 sport).

^ yup, remove the dam, put the plate on. The truck looks 1000x better without the air dam anyway.

Thx I figured that they may have been confused by the air dam, however thought that was too basic of an answer if you're adding a skid plate?? That said anyone have any pics of the 2020 with it on a sport? There are several older model Sports and OR models on YouTube .. haven't found it on a 2020 yet.

It will fit. I took my 07 OR skid plate and mount it in my 17 Sport. I removed the chin strap. Sorry no pictures because I trade it in for a 21 OR.

What are you waiting for? Go yank that thing off and toss it in the trash where it belongs.

Just pull that air dam off. it will look 100% better and you can add the skid. It’s a 5minute mod at the most!
