The same shit everyone else has.
Long story short is my old lady was helping me last week when I was working on my truck. She ended up dropping a socket down on the skidplate and it got stuck on it.

I had to removed the optional aluminum TRD skidplate and the steel TRD Off Road skidplate to retrieve the socket.

When putting it back on, I noticed the one mounting bolts for the skidplate will not tighten the whole way. It starts to get tight then just spins. It is one of the long, front mounting bolts.

The threads on the mounting bolt are fine. The captive nut/whatever the bolt threads into is damaged.

I havent had a chance to investigate what the bolt threads into yet and searching hasnt yielded much.

I was wondering anyone can point me in the direction as to what the bolt threads into? Is it a simple U nut? Some special Toyota only nut? A welded captive nut?

    THanks

    Cheers
