    Exactly.

IMHO when talking about wheeling them.

On the street is a diff story.

So if I don't plan to go off road just mainly pavement and then occasional camping trips I should go with Sport or does the softer suspension on OR help with ride?

You should test drive both to see what you like. l like the smoother ride of the OR.

This needs to be done scientifically. Two guys drive the trucks there. They find something the Sport may not be able to do. One of the drivers gets out of the truck and videos the entire event. One driver attempts the obstacle in both trucks using the same lines.

AND ROLL UP THE ****ING WINDOWS WHEN YOU RECORD YOURSELF SPEAKING IN THE VEHICLE holy shit

This is why I bought the sport over the OR. It is a daily driver that will see light trails and logging roads. Oh and it doesn't have all the extra stuff to go bad. I am not happy that the Sport and OR are priced the same, but I am happy with how it drives.

Honestly, I don't plan to do any hardcore trails with this rig. It is a cool DD and I take it on old fire roads hunting... might do a couple camping trips and that is it. Sport re-sale is better around here which is a factor...

If you plan to wheel it on hardcore trails then the OR is the obvious choice if you want a new truck. Personally, for the hard stuff I would buy an old first gen and SAS it with dirty thirties/ 35's/doubler if you are set on Toyota... and get a different DD. You can build a very capable rig for 10-15k

But the beauty of the Western World is you get to do whatever the f$*# you want with your money :) *no judgement here*

I know that was sarcasm, but don't stop. Sometimes the challenge of getting up and over obstacles with open diffs is more fun and rewarding. Much more satisfying when you do get over. Walking over everything then watching my friends struggle but have more fun gets old. My 2nd gen is getting to the point where I have to take more extreme trails and lines to have any kind of challenge. and most of my friends won't be able to follow :(
I guess I could just turn everything off and run with open diffs and no traction control first :D
But I don't like to unnecessarily tear up the trails if I can avoid it...

best way to explain where an OR might do better than a sport...anywhere you need a locker.

If you're trying to decide between getting a sport or an OR, and will be keeping it stock and want to go off road as well. I'd say get the OR. Almost the same price, better suspension from factory and you get the locker.
There have been a lot of threads on here of people complaining the sports ride is shit on road.

That sucks. Feel like that wouldn't have been nearly as bad with a locked rear and ATRAC up front. Might end up being a costly repair considering it has the blind spot monitors/parking sensors in there.
