Issue is stock shocks are just that... stock shocks. The or im sure will be a softer more compliant ride, but im sure they wouldnt be anywhere near as nice as any offerings from bilstein, toytec, icon, fox etc. Factory parts are engineered to last atleast as long as warranty for as cheap as possible for the most part. How cheap is cheap? And are you installing yourself or having someone else do it? After you figure in labor, the difference often becomes negligible between cheap parts and good stuff

Made by bilstein for toyota to toyotas specs. Not the same. Kinda like how you can completely make a chevy better by filling it with delco professional line products. Same company, different specs for different purposes

Not positive on the 16's but the last gen "4600" series bilsteins can be bought for like 28 bucks each from toyota while you cant buy the real 4600 for less than 60. Add in bilstein gives a limited lifetime warranty, and its onvious they are not the same.

About 12 years in every aspect of car business taught me oem is engineered to last warranty and then some for cheap as possible, quality aftermarket is made to last the rest of the time.

Drove multiple OR and Sports. I didn't enjoy the feeling in the sport in the least bit. I actually felt more floaty in it. Only 500 in on the OR but it just felt much more sorted to me in the test drives.

Off Road is better ride for sure. Plus you are getting much better Part Quality for sure. Even the Goodyear Tires were a pleasant surprise for me. I have the V6 and to date have averaged a solid 21/22 mpg. No issues coming up on one year old.
