I have a 2021 Sport Premium with the scoop and love it. I don't get it all the complaints about vision or blare with having the scoop. I had it on my old 2008 Sport and it was great. I forget they are panties dropper lol. A lot of people comment me on the looks of the Sport. Glad I got it and a grin on my face when driving it.Happy camper:thumbsup:

Really? How tall are you? I’m 6-0 and it’s like a half inch above the rest of the hood for me.

Honestly I have the opposite problem than the scoop. The visors/headliner are what obstruct my view. Whenever I wait for the light to change, I hunch over as if I was watching helicopters.

I am 5'8 and the only complaint I have is getting into the truck. Vision is no problem. just saying.

You Sport owners should just go ahead and complete "the look" with a tonneau cover rear spoiler. A nonfunctional spoiler to complement your nonfunctional hood scoop!

...not enough TRD's or Ironman Stewart decals on that spoiler. Otherwise I'd get two.

Maybe I should plan on putting on a front air dam to improve vehicle ground effects.

But seriously, I plan on trying to keep added weight to a minimum. I'd like to get a Tonneau cover, but a soft one to keep rain and snow out, and improve fuel efficiency. No bars, racks, tent platforms, carriers or anything else that is going to zap the mileage if I can help it.

I did however see a video on one of those steps mounted near the rear bumper that you can pop down to be used to get into the bed. I'd probably need to add popup hand-rails or grab bars to use it though. :bananadead:

The hard toneau cover weighs like..50-60 pounds max for the name brand ones. I jump down from the bed holding mine, its just awkward to hold when removing but looks real good installed. I just wish it had large spoiler mounts like shown above!

Sport or Off-Road, I really don’t give a shit what you choose! However, for the love of everything that’s freakin’ holy, can we please stop referring to anything on, or about, these mass-produced, mid-sized, light-duty trucks as “panty droppers?” o_O

I see this very dorky & cringe-inducing term thrown around on this forum quite often. I know, I know…it’s all in jest. However, I doubt anyone on this forum has ever gotten laid strictly because of their Japanese truck & if you have, they offer penicillin shots at your local clinics.

As you were gentlemen! Once you settle this Sport vs Off-Road matter, may I direct your attention to one of the enjoyable oil change interval threads. There appears to be some sort of debate raging on that is in desperate need of your attention!

Lol. Just for the record, crawl control is nothing but a non functional sunglasses holder.

If you're just wanting the locker and not the other things the OR offers, then just get an SR5 Trail Edition (comes with the locker) and save yourself some money from the TRD model.

I posted this in another thread recently. I really think crawl control is an under appreciated feature among a lot of people, especially on this forum. I blame Toyota for this.

When Toyota released that video of it being used to dig itself out of the sand, most people began to view it as some sort or magic “get unstuck” sorcery tool.

In reality, it’s real purpose is in its name. It was really designed to serve as tool for ascending and descending steep slippery slopes in a controlled manner. It works great for that.

Except the TE is more expensive than the base OR/Sport.
