thinking of powder coating my trd sport wheels black instead of spending at least $1600 on the later model fj trd black wheels.
ANy idea of an estimated price to get 4 wheels powder coated black?

Not too terribly outrageous. When I was contemplating doing the same (gunmetal gray, not black), the cheapest quote I got was $75 for sandblasting and powdercoating. I've read a few other guys get quoted a bit less, but I would expect to pay at least that....

Just paint them, Save up your grip and buy some mildly priced aftermarket wheels. Some KMCs or ATX or in my case Ballistics :) Cant wait to get me a set of Jesters!

I don't see the advantage of powder coating tires.

Just make use of your networking contacts.
I got a bunch of parts PC'd for my motorcycle for the price of a bottle of Jack from a friend of a friend who had a contract with Saleen. As long as I just wanted basic gloss or semi-gloss black... or the same red that he used on the swaybars, he'd just drop my parts into the same production run with the swaybars.

    1. It's cheaper then buying new rims
    2. It looks good they can match your paint
    3. Stops corrosion on the wheels I have the original set which are chipped and worn and I have a new stock set I got cheap. The wheels will be protected from chipping and oxidization.

Achieves the best look with the best durability for 1/4 of the cost of new rims

Powdercoating factory wheels is a great route. It should run between 35-75 per wheel. Most shops do them arund 50/wheel around here. If you have motorcycles send in rearsets and stuff you save a bunch on PC work
