Hey Guys...Ill start off by saying that I have a fairly plain Jane base Prerunner that I bought last April. I really like some of the TRD stuff that is available, especially the bedside decals but also interior stuff like TRD badged seat covers, shift lever etc. My problem is I don't want to come across as a "poser" or TRD wannabe. What's your thinking? I know it's my truck and all but I also don't want to be a dumbass...and I know I should have bought a TRD....

getting the decals is lame as hell. anyone who knows what a trd sport/or is will know you're faking it, and anyone who doesn't know, doesn't care in the first place. debadged entirely > badged.

I agree with the faking it with the bedside decals. They make plenty of other little accents you could throw on there, like the TRD badge, or some centercaps.

I agree with cseaman on the decals. Your truck is fine as is, no need to pretend it's
something different. If anything maybe I'd do the shift knob or even TRD wheels and leave it at that

Yeah, I dig those wheels. Something like that is what I would add, if I were you. Seat covers are pretty cool to.

When I bought the truck it had those lame ass chrome wheelcovers. I did replace them with a nice set of wheels but not TRD wheels. My next purchase is tires, I hate the Yokohama Geolanders that are on the truck.

i think you can put what ever you want on your truck. Adding trd decals to it doesn't make you a poser... you're supporting toyota racing development .

honestly who gives a shit what those truck fairy's think...

OP says he doesn't want to come across as a poser. Putting the bedside decal on a truck making it look like a model it's not, is actually the definition of being a poser.

I wish someone would make a bedside decal for Prerunners. I've seen some that just say 4x2 which looks lame. I think I'm gonna pass on the TRD bedside and maybe just add some TRD stuff to the interior.

No one other than those of us with this weird obsession will notice or care. If you like the TRD stuff, get it and put it on.

    A few things
Aren't there some guys on here who make trd bedside stickers to say whatever you want? That way you can have trd on the bed but not sport or offroad.

Isn't it funny....? People squawking about the OP being a poser by putting a decal on his truck when so many people put thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of aftermarket off road accessories on their trucks and then never taking them off the pavement. What's that old saying...? "Same thing only different".....

If the OP wants to put a decal on his truck that says it's the Enterprise, then pretend he's Captain Kirk, that's OK by me. It's his truck.

Adding TRD accessories doesn't make it poser. That's just dumb
Sticker yeah dont do it. Look at a sport all it has is color.matched grill bumpers and hood and then ts a TRD. Other than that it's basically just a base truck.

Mod it how you want to. You can easily make a sport or off road jealous with a base build.

Just buy trd accessories and then you have the right to add the trd decal but without the sport or
