I have an 05 DCLB base model. My front shock struts were shot so I upgraded the shock struts & front coils to Bilstein TRD"S. Installed front fog lights. I won't put TRD decals on it, but as far as functional TRD stuff....for sure. It's your truck dress it up to your hearts content.

maybe Ill start with the TRD battery holder and go from there. :)IMG_20151122_163456.jpg I've added the fogs and intermittent wipers, adding the cruise control is on my radar.
Maybe a Confederate Flag (toned down in Gray) for the bedside.

if the man likes the stickers, who cares. hey you bought a trd... are you butthurt that his $50 worth of decals lets other people think he has the same rig as you?

this is so sad, when i was in the diesel community i never saw a butthurt group of ladies like this.

He asked for opinions and got them. The only butt hurting here is yours.

Its your money and your truck do what you want and makes you happy. It just that simple. Ive seen people who have taken off the TRD decals on the bed. Does that make them a Base model poser?

Didn't mean to start mud slinging and I realize that this was a wide open question with a lot of differing opinions. Here's my solution... I'm going to bebadge the Tacoma completely and replace them with the Ranger XLT badges from my other truck and tell people I'm beta testing a 2017 Ranger

Don't sweat it, go with what ya like. Personally TRD is just a brand nothing really a lot better about other than a few bolt ons. Make your truck your brand and flare, have fun with it what ever you do.

I had a '92 stRANGER. 4.0 V6/5 speed 4wd. I liked it but couldn't manage to keep the transmission together. Kept losing 4/5 gear. And it would get stuck to the frame on a paved parking lot. Never did have much good to say about it's off road abilities. That said, it was awesome in the snow!

I have a 4 cylinder tacoma 4x4, the previous owner put the TRD offroad stickers on the bed, I kinda like them and I'm too lazy to take them off. Some could say I'm a poser but I don't care, you can tell that my truck has been on the trails a lot because the paint is all scratch up.

I considered 4x4 but really don't have a need for it. Off road for me means gravel roads or the occasional dirt or farm road. I've always had a 2we vehicle and have never had an issue getting around, even in some pretty big snows. Good tires and a steady foot on the gas pedal have always worked for me. Sounds like you have a nice setup there, I'm thinking of taking my grandsons camping next year using the truck.
