He listed it because that's what you'd end up paying a dealership to install the S/C and, in the process, they'll reflash the ECU so, in order to every remove the S/C, you'd need to do something with the ECU. With the whole setup he's selling, the permanent modification is not required so you can go back to stock. Also, with his kit, you don't have to pay the dealership for the reflash since the Unichip takes care of it.

I think this is a fair price with the extras. I like the fact I can use the Unichip and not worry about reflashing the ECU. If I ever had to return it to stock, it's one less thing I have to spend money on. Bump for good and fair price!

Because-Random bitching about prices is frowned upon-If you are negotiating, I was going to recommend PMs. Since you aren't-Knock it off.

Not to mention the price is mathematically and factually pretty good for a more or less ready to go set up.

I'm on the lookout for a s/c for a buddy so that's why the questions. My questions appear to be shared by others so PM's is kind of pointless because he's going to get the same PM from dozens of people. Not to mention I'm not making offer yet. I'm not negotiating because I don't even really understand what his for sale price includes at this point and it appears as though I'm not alone based on other posts. If getting clarification on what exactly is for sale and how it breaks down is frowned upon then I'll just bow out of this thread entirely as the rules appear to be a little to strict for me to even get clarification. From what I can see it's nowhere near $4,000 so I guess you understand something I don't about it it. I'm not going to attempt to buck whatever system is reprimanding me right now to get more details. Oh well I guess. Good luck with the sale.

...this seems like a simple case of miscommunication

OP mentioned that a dealer install plus ECU reflash is about $600

If you were purchasing new and are competent enough to install yourself then you would still need to purchase a piggyback ECU, like the Unichip he is including, which is about the same $600

Also, OP is including a pulley, CAI, and gauges which boost the value of this package even more .. about $5400 new

So yes, $4000 is a good price.

This................I feel like if someone negotiated they wouldnt be out of line......but this price is a fair reflection of whats being offered.

good post and good mediation! lol

If u install yourself it only costs about $100 to have the dealer flash the ecu. Uni chip is not Needed even to return to stock.

Good deal the OP posted here. Just as a heads up though... this will only work for 05-08, 09+ has the new ECU setup and best I know, unichip hasn't been setup for it yet (and I doubt the current flash would work). The only real option that I can see right now is the unreleased U-CON (which I'm waiting on). So, for 09+ just do some quick research with unichip first... would hate to see someone get it and not be able to run it. (of course, the TRD Flash is an option, but it runs dangeriously lean even with just the URD underdrive pully so it's basically a non-option)

Also OP, it would be good to list an estimated millage, time has no bearing on estimated usage. (for instance, my 2010 already has 65k+ on it and I bought it brand new in 11)

So all you have to say is "I'm looking at buying it." and ask your questions.
But you first post was "Used" which isn't a question or anything useful, so it appeared you might be trying to tank this guys sale....hence why I asked. Your response that it doesn't matter lead me to believe that even more. Part of negotiating is offering a price...not just trying to chip away at the asking price.

And plenty of folks have already answered up that it's a good deal and why-
