Lol......no not yet. Even if it is I'm on duty at the firehouse today so I can't pick it up until tomorrow anyway.

In the paperwork that comes in the fit kit, it says it doesn't come with emissions sticker. But you can request one and they will mail it to you

I think I saw smoke from that dealer, you might want to go check it out. Could be a fire or could be the tech doing a burning out with your truck. Hmmmmmm

My emissions sticker was mailed to me. The dealer might have requested it I guess.

Just got mine installed. Took them about a week. Apparently (so I was told) there is a extra hose or something needed if you have a manual transmission (part was backordered). I didn't mind as I would rather have them take their time and do it right than rushing it. Mine was installed by Toyota of Berkeley for $900. I think they grossly underestimated the time it took them. I'm not sure if they will offer this price again. Prices varied so much from dealer to dealer in the Bay Area. Prices ranged from $900 - $2700. Next lowest price was Oakland Toyota at $1100.

Here is the prices I got.
    • One Toyota $2600
    • Putnam $ Never called me back (tried 2 times)
    • Downtown Oakland $1150
    • Dublin $2475
    • Walnut creek $2736
    • Freemont $2300
    • SF $2600
    • Toyota of Berkley $900

    Truck really feels good now.

One thing to note that one of the techs told me. Since Toyota is discontinuing the SC and will only produce parts for the next 10 years. Parts may become harder to find later on when the SC needs repairs. Make sure you get all the original parts back in case down the road you need to convert it back. No sense paying for parts you already have.

Well, I bought the SC and fit kit on ebay and had them install it to get the warranty. I got my SC a week after the announcement went out about the SC being discontinued. So SC + fit kit was $4100 + $900 install.

I'll look at the paperwork when I get home, if I remember correctly you mail toyota with Vin and charger serial number. Then they mail you one

Where do you get the charger serial number from again? I don't know where it is located.

Wow!! Those are typical Cali rip off prices! Except what you paid!!:D My dealer didn't have any issues with mine regarding the extra hose thing!!! Kind of sounds like BS... Glad yours is all done and your happy!!!

I'm still assuming that I am getting a call today that it is ready. I have a 6spd too and never heard that. I'll have to find out about the sticker too

I didn't think so either. They didn't charge me for whatever phantom part so I'm not worried about it. Just glad I got a decent price for the install.

    .

Went to the dealership today. They absolutely have the kit. I started the conversation by asking if they could get the charger that I found at another dealership transferred to Hendrick. "No. There is no markup for us in transferring one from another dealership"
Great. Nice start right? "If you take the fit kit today. I'll cancel the backorder, but I can absolutely guarantee that I won't sell this kit to anyone else. I've had calls because this kit shows up as the only one in stock in the southeast region. I can tell you right now, this kit isn't going anywhere. I'm holding it for you, but if you take the kit. I'll cancel your backorder"
Soooooo.....what do you guys think, wait on the backorder one or go ahead and get the one that I've found from another dealership? Am I just getting soft in my old age, or am I being stupid in agreeing to keep waiting?
It will end up costing me about 500 bucks more if I get the charger elsewhere. So...there's that too.
I physically had the fit kit in my hands today, so I know it's here

I say take the fit kit now and get the SC from the place that actually has one. Screw the extra cost at this point!!

Put 150 miles on the charger today, runs and pulls like a champ. Very noticeable when climbing hills. Couldn't find a part number for that trd oil cap
