No, if you look at the official release from a few weeks ago Toyota wrote it specifically mentions that they will support the S/C for another ten years for parts.

We can only tow so much before the truck is unstable. I tow about 3500 pounds and have no issues going up hill......that is until the stupid Prius kills my momentum. If you want to tow more get a full size. While yes I am a man and more power is always a plus, I just cant justify the cost vs gains. my 2 cents.

Automobile manufactures are required by Federal law to supply replacement parts and support for a product for 10 years after it has been discontinued.

Crash, I would keep going after your dealers. I went round and round with my 3 closest dealers in my area in Central Texas and I got the s/c, kit and install for $5,500 out the door. My dealership found the s/c and kit in Houston. Mine is also a 2015 and I knew I wanted a s/c when I bought mine back in November. Just keep getting the best price and go back until you're happy. You just gotta go after them. Good luck!

I did. The kit and SC are in my basement now waiting for my scheduled install date. I called around to all my local dealers and was able to negotiate the install rate down quite a bit. It will be installed by a retired master tech with 25+ years experience and the only thing he does now is SC installs at the dealer part time. He has quite the waiting list.

I just bought a supercharger and fit kit today. According to the dealers, there are plenty of superchargers left on the shelves, but it's the fit kits that are virtually gone. Camelback Toyota helped me track one down in my region, and it seems as if it may have been one of the very few remaining available.

There's a part list somewhere around here but google is failing me. IIRC the hardest thing to find that people are always missing in the 2nd hand kits are the upgraded fuel injectors. I think a few guys on here have spent months trying to find them and then gave up.

Called a local Toyota dealer to ask about the Supercharger for my 2015 Tacoma and got transferred to the new car sales department asking if I am interested in a new 2015 Tacoma. :annoyed:

Well there goes that idea but maybe now they'll do it since their product will be the only one left

Yes, but the engine management system that must be installed with the URD system isn't plug and play for 2009+ trucks.

There are some dealers selling the kit + SC on ebay and Amazon for a few hundred over retail, I saw one dealer selling them on ebay for less than $4900 for everything (yes, that is more than retail). They are smart to bundle the two so they don't get stuck with supercharger inventory. There are also others that also have already started insane price gouging online.

When my parts came in last week and I was there to negotiate the install, the dealer insisted they hang onto the parts till the install date. I did not want them to mysteriously disappear to a higher bidder so I paid for them and had them loaded in my truck to take home, regardless of what the dealer claimed. The dealer said there were 50 fit kits left at other dealers in the US and if needed they could locate another one. So your local dealer should still be able to locate the parts, it is just a matter if the dealer with the parts is willing to sell them to your local dealer.

For those of you on the fence, I am living this mod more and more with each day. I haven't seen a big effect on my gas mileage either, but its hard to tell because I did some very minor towing which always screws with the average.

You really need to give the ECU time to learn as well. The truck is pulling much stronger now compared to the day I picked it up after install.

Just don't have delusions of turning your truck into a sports car. Its really a drivability mod, particularly if you have larger/heavier tires than stock.

Thats good info crash. My experience over the last 2 weeks when I tried to buy one; dealer in SC took my payment then called back and said they got the price wrong and it was more. called back again said they couldnt get the fit kit and canceled my order. I placed another order and was charged by a dealer in TX only to be put on a waiting list which they didnt even know if they can fulfill.

Per crash's report, sounds to me like dealers hyping the fact that toyota will be discontinuing the SC program to increase their profits.
