Hey all, have another issue (I think) with this damn supercharger that came with my truck I bought a few months ago. I was looking at it the other day and noticed that it looked like something was missing, rather than trying to describe it here I've circled it in the attached photo...

    Screenshot_2016-05-24-19-13-59.jpg

From what I can find online, it looks like a 'diagnostic plug bracket' is supposed to go in there, like what's seen here:

What I don't understand though is what that plug in does, and if I'm doing any kind of damage to my truck/supercharger by running without it. Anyone here know?

    Thanks in advance

Its more then likely the bracket for the under hood diagnostic readout. you have it in there somewhere just in your case not mounted to the super charger. And DAMED super charger??? guys on here kill for those man.

Question is where is the diagnostic port? Don't think that is plumbed or has anything to do with the blower.

You should be fine without it. You have one under your dash.

Thanks for the reply and yes you're right, I don't mean to sound like I don't appreciate it it's just that I've had more than one headache involving it since I got the truck less than 3 months ago. Nothing major but with this just coming up today I got a little frustrated, safe to say.

    Thanks for the replies guys

I pulled up the installation instructions and that's what it was described as, I'll see if I can find them again and screenshot that page

You have a 2004. It is OBDII compliant. The diagnostic port is in the cab, under the dash, to the right of the steering wheel. I don't recall having to bolt anything up to that bolt hole on the S/C but it has been a couple years since I installed it and I don't have the truck anymore to go take a quick picture.

Thanks, that helps put me at ease. Every image I looked at on google seemed to have one plugged in there.

Anyway here's where I saw the name of the part. It's for the Magnuson version but it's the same supercharger, I just looked at the TRD install PDF and it says the same thing.

Not the best shot since the throttle cable and vacuum line are in the way but here's from driver front on my old 2003 taco:

SAME THING happened to me right after I got my truck! Code P0140, system too lean. I had an 8 page thread on this forum and my truck at two Toyota dealerships trying to figure out the problem, the first one sent me away after a week telling me they had no idea what it was. Second dealership discovered the vacuum leak from the uncapped port on the back after 2 days. Damn....where were you 2 months ago haha.

    Right here on TW. ;)

One of the problems with the internet: too much data, not enough time to sift through it all.

No worries, lol. It was just funny you mentioned that when I had the exact thing happen earlier. Fortunately it was (mostly) all covered under the warranty I had on it right after purchase. They replaced the MAF sensor, spark plugs/wires, air/fuel sensor, etc. trying to figure it out...at least I got some new parts!

Made out like a bandit! Glad you got it worked out. Fun little thing, the 3.4 with a blower is.
