Sounds like the bearings in the nose assembly and/or rotor pack. What exactly was the work done on this "rebuild" and who rebuilt it?

Get a long screwdriver and place the tip to the front nose cone and the handle to your ear and listen. Do the same to the rear portion and see where the noise is loudest. Sounds louder at the rear on the video. May be your bearings.

it was a full rebuild, exactly what I’m not sure. But I do know all bearings were replaced, rotors removed and measured for clearance, nose cone rebuilt.

I have a stethoscope and it sounds like it’s coming from the front. Things I checked were:

    belt
    Pulleys
    Tensioner
    Nose cone play/smoothness

all were great, when I removed the belt and spun the drive pulley it felt great no noise.

Im in talks with the owner of the porting service so more to follow but if you guys can think of anything let me know. Also it runs great and has sounded like this since I got it back about 20k ago.

Did they put oil back in it after the rebuild? Sounds like it is bone dry. Pop the plug and check it for oil.

Also, coupler material could make for different noises. There are some out there that are quieter than others

That sound that is similar to gravel in a bucket could be the rotor packs needing replacement. Thats what mine sounded like and I needed new rotors from SCOL. These blowers always have a little bit of that sounds, but it's much fainter when freshly built.
The higher pitched squeal could be the nose cone.
Definitely sounds like it needs a rebuild though.

It’s got oil, and I checked with the shop they filled it up according to spec

The SC will add some noise, but it should not sound like a can of gravel or marbles. As far as the coupler, I stick with the OEM coupler and there is no noise.

If this is what it sounded like after the rebuild I'd call out sub-standard work. If I needed work done to mine that I couldn't do on my own for some reason it would go to SCOL.

The shop that rebuilt it Stiegemeier Porting Services contacted me and told me it needed to be rebuilt. I asked them how much that would be and it was the origional cost of having it built the first time. Out of warranty. Looks like i'm SOL.

I think it has maybe 23,000 miles on the rebuild.

According to Steigmeier porting service, all bearings were replaced, nose cone rebuilt, rotor pack bearings replaced, new seals, new coupler, and they did what they called a constrictor cut on the pulley. From what I understand from talking to SCOL removing the rotors from the rotor pack is a difficult procedure and is often done incorrectly. From what I can hear that sounds like the issue since most of the noise sounds like it’s coming from the front of the charger.
