    Just finished spec u headers and exhaust. Initial impressions are meh. We will see once I have more time with it on and allow for break in time.

    Probably about the same, only difference is front cats. I sat around and listened to a bunch of sound bits back in the day and just wasn't a fan of the Spec U sound, sounded a hair to Euro to me. Granted its got good power and URD seemed to have put more love in to that exhaust than any others, but I have to run shorties because California, and I wanted the 3" exhaust with a good sound

    The Spec-U headers seem very well designed since they report you don't lose low end torque/power unlike a lot of headers. I share your pain on the shorties. Stupid VA emissions...

    I seriously considered Spec U headers and just become competant at swapping them out for Smog, but the Total Chaos Coil Bucket Gussets dont fit with those headers, and Id rather gusset shit that needs it than add another 10 hp over my Doug Thorlet shorties lol

    Fair point haha. I'm thinking of changing over to a full spec U setup once I am out of this emissions hellhole. I skipped bucket gussets.

    Well, LT truck needs them lol, but anyhoo, If you're looking for straigjt performance, the full Spec U system is probably about as good as you can get for our trucks. Combined with a URD SC youll probably be pretty happy lol. and yeah, emissions sucks ass. I resigned myself to shorties and swapping out my Y pipe and Intake in 5 years for Smog testing lol

    20-30 minute IIRC? Id just remove the battery cables, go watch a show or something, put it back on whenever. Just remember that if you're in an auto, itll relearn your shift point so if you want it to shift more aggressively, drive aggressively after doing this

    He shouldnt have, AFAIK URD had a good dyno on the URD system and showed gains throughout the entire RPM band

    I'm still waiting to I see reviews on the AFE headers.....with the high flow cats. I just like the idea of the cats already being on and not having to get em welded on. Plus I like the idea of high flow cats.....how do you guys think those cats would be power wise????
