    Hmm. a 5.0 v8 ecoboost? What's the point? Doubt it will get much better MPGs than a big boy v8 at that point.

    Ok so I found the part # for the two rear bearings, being as picky as I am I'm going with koyo ala rolling performance for the nose kit, the coupler, and rear needle bearings, and the 2 rear bearings looking around $140. Hoping these will come by sometime next week.

    So far it's only confirmed in the Raptor. The point is RAPTOR. More seriously though Ford wants a HO V8 option without bringing back the 6.2 L engine or something V10. So they are going with a boosted V8. It sounds like it will be in the Superduty and primium F150 lineup at some point after the Raptor.

    Yeah, Ford isn't going for fuelly numbers with a twin turbo V8 :p.

    It's just an example of an engine that will be available in your 10 year window.

    Hey guys, long time lurker. Im trying to install a Magnuson charger on my rig. They come with a Bully Dog gt platinum tuner to reflash the ecu yourself. Anybody have experience with these? First one they sent me was shit and the second one freezes about a quarter of the way through the reflash process. Not in a critical spot luckily. Directions for reflash are from Magnuson however they don't respond to emails and are very difficult to get on the phone. Bully Dog has been good about talking me through things and today they tell me that the Magnuson directions are incorrect and give me a different way to start the reflash process. Cant play with the system till the end of the day though when I leave work. Next question is this: Magnuson states to reflash the ecu BEFORE installing the charger, exact opposite of TRD directions. So if I do manage to reflash the ecu tonight, can I drive it AFTER the reflash but BEFORE installing the charger? Im talking about babying it not WOT since I'm on call till Sunday morning and might have to drive 9 miles to work to help with surgeries. After the reflash I think I'm about 5 hours from completing the install. Thanks guys

    IIRC, yes you can drive it after doing the reflash but without the S/C. Your AFR will by wicked fat though. Not something you want to leave like that. It'd be better to just leave it alone until you have time to flash it.

    You can go as fast as you want, just keep your rpms below like 2.5k-3k. and keep your foot waaaay out of the pedal. that way you don't run the risk of going to rich or too lean

    I usually get about 18-20 even in my current configuration If I keep it right around 70 and don't try to pass anything. Normal driving, the way I do, i average 13

    Yeah MPG doesn't improve a whole lot from city to highway. These trucks just chug gas to get going and stay moving is all it is I guess.

    I'm not sure if it's an option or not. When bully dog sent me the 2nd non working tuner they took a 350$ deposit until I send the first non working one back. Looks like I just saved on shipping though. Now I can send both the broken piece of sh!ts back at the same time
