Interesting. I was thinking on making a bracket to hold both resevoirs off the fender location

How much of a pain is it to unscrew it and pull the can out??

 

2 Allen screws. Not a big deal. Maybe if I had one more joint in my wrist I could take it right off.

 

Is that pretty much the only way it could mounted...being that we have the reservoir in the way?

 

Are you guys with catch cans only venting one valve cover?

 

Jeff isn't your clutch resivor right there though? So the catch can couldn't go like that?

 

No? Theres room next to the coolant reservoir, but the bracket for the coolant is in the way, so i need a new bracket that can hold both and Im good. Might even just make a bracket to screw in to the coolant bracket and call it a day. Well see

 

I looked over the instructions of both the AEM wideband and the Speedhut gauge. Gauge says .5-4.5V and wideband says 0-5V. My bad. Nice $200 mistake. Thanks for help guys

Getting the gauges sorted out has been the most frustrating mod (beyond installing suspension, and the SC itself) LOL

 

This is why i internet searched for a month or two before pulling the trigger. I even grilled speedhut on what i would need to make it all work. I wanted those damn custom gauges.

 

I have supercharged 2nd gen v6 with a 2.85 pulley & my stock clutch just cant handle the power at high load in 6th gear. Can you guys tell me what clutch you've been having the best all around performance with for the least amount of money?

 

Depends what kind of performance you're looking for. I threw a URD Stage 3 clutch with lightweight flywheel in mine after my OEM clutch burned out and I love it. I know that any power upgrades I put in to the 4.0 will never overpower that clutch. But it is quick as shit. There is very little slippage, enough that offroading is a little more difficult and stalling out is a thing lol. I would recommend the Stage 2 URD clutch and resurface your flywheel to anyone just wanting a clutch that can handle the TRD SC and pulley.

 

Thank you for your recommendation, Its the stalling thing i'd like to avoid, but I know if I'm going high performance & so many ponies over stock, I have to make a sacrifice if I want to keep the engine connected to the tranny!
How many miles do you have on that urd clutch?
do you drive it hard?

 

The only reason I stall so much is because of being on a hill with the lightweight flywheel lol. If you stick with the stock flywheel you'll be fine. I wanna say I have about 5k on the Stage 3 and its great. The light weight flywheel actually gives a little better acceleration at the cost of less rotating mass so it doesn't keep the engine going like the stock flywheel does if you don't give it enough power. It takes a little to get used to, but once you do it's a blast!

 

I had 200k before I changed the original clutch & the only reason I changed it then was because I had to replace the tranny, there was a grind from 2nd to 3rd & I couldn't deal with it anymore lol. I put the s/c in @ 207k & after about 20k the new stock clutch started slipping. I just put a afe cai on today & now the clutch slips real fast, a little proof that the intake made a differance in power.

 

Well, I don't know about the intake, but I do know for a fact that these clutches can't handle Supercharged power very well. At first I thought I just super sucked at driving stick, which I do lol, but more and more I see 6 speed guys coming on here asking why their clutches are slipping. From experience, once your clutch start slipping its a very steep downhill slope.
