Well between distance, color, and wanting to do my own S/C build, I'm not into it. But someone else might be.

I'm looking to get something in good shape for about the same, without S/C. That seems to be about the lowest I can find. 22/23 posting price, I'm hoping to get that OTD like you said.

 

Could possibly do it for 20. Gotta play hardball. Show up and low ball the shit out of them, work up to 20, throw down a check for 20, if they turn it down, walk out. They'll call back.

Dude, if that's a trade in? They fuckin bought that thing for like 16 I bet. My buddy worked a dealership and used to tell me how bad they fucked people up on trade ins and then resold for crazy profit. And even though I sound like a dick, your low ball offer is probably still higher than what they bought it for, so they're just playing the game to get whatever cash they can get out it.

 

I hate Dealerships btw. Not sure if that was clear lol. Literally one out of probably 15 I've been to has ever actually treated me right. And that was 1 service manager who I had to go to every time or I talked to some dumbass that made me want to walk out immediately. #jaded lol

 

Yeah I'm with you on the dealers, I went to my dealer of 5 years and told him I had a trd blower coming and he said 2300 installed. I never went back and found a new one 15 miles further out in Weatherford and they installed it for under a grand. They now get all my business and are completely awesome.

 

Since it's a 2wd, maybe you lower it and go for Speed only. I'll never buy another 2wd either.

 

I installed my blower myself after being told much the same thing. Everyone wanted anywhere from 1k to 2.5k to install and the 1k guys were a good half hour or more away. What with rental car costs and commuting, I just finally said F it and did it myself. If you can turn a wrench, its really not that bad of an install. Its just turning a wrench for 16 hours straight

 

Yeah I'll enjoy doing the install myself, with all new parts. That way I can clean up anything I don't like along the way.

I am looking to build more of a 'street' truck I suppose, but no ridiculous lowering and all that. I want 2wd for the simplicity and gas mileage; it won't see anything more intense than the occasional dirt roads. But I have a heavy foot and like to have something with some getup, so I'm gonna go with the smallest pulley from magnuson once URD releases the EMS for 12-15s

 

Ugh. Trust me, don't do what I did. Despite what the dealer tells you, theres almost no gas mileage difference between 2WD and 4WD, and if there is, its very negligible. AND 4WD launches>2WD launches. Its the difference between "Screeeeeeeeeeeeee braaaaap" and "braaaaaaaaaaa whine" when you're racing lol

 

Besides, I don't know about yall, but I really DGAF about my mileage since I put the blower on. Oh I need to pass someone? Guess I should lightly feather the throttle for minor acceleration to get around them! Or maybe i should drop it in to fourth and drop the clutch and pedal to the metal...yeah I'm gonna do that instead. While staying within the posted speed limits, obviously.

After you fill it make sure everything is flowing good, hopefully the pump isn't damaged or anything else

Yep same coolant that goes in the engine radiator. Pinkish in color
