TRD supercharger

well i did, it will be off for a week or so for more work.

and honestly now that i have done it i feel i could remove it in an hour and a half to two hours

 

Like full job, or just pulling the top off? I mean, drill gun with the right sockets and thats a 20 minute job to pull it off lol

Swivel extensions, and a swivel ratchet. -5 minute job.

So I'm looking hard into my headers finally......I've been trying to find info that I thought has been discussed before.

Between shorties and longtubes, which will rob you of low end power? And which of the two are ultimately the better set for our motors???

From what I've read performance wise they are awesome but also a pain to install. I've seen at least two guys have a ton of problems with them and gadget not really wanting to help.

Of the two, long tubes and shorties.....which rob f/a of low end power???

 

It's a pain but I think some people over complicate things too much. Like that guy who took off the transmission brace to install their Y pipe lol

 

I installed a set for someone and it wasn't bad at all. Once I get my front end sorted out and done I'm gonna swap my afe's out for a set. I've had both short tube and long tube headers with my s/c. Long tubes win hands down. But URD's are far superior to both and I'm not a urd fan at all, but no one makes anything comparable

 

im gonna get a set of urd long tubes and y pipe to go with my trd cat back. i was told to remove front driveshaft to help with install instead of disconnecting the steering shaft

That's what I did. Worked for me

 

@JuanitoBunito just get the urd headers. Tbh the power is really great, but the other bs like install is annoying but ultimately worth it. I took my truck to a shop that does 1000 hp + cars and even they had trouble with the install.

 

What about did they charge you.....did you have them weld on the cats too??

 

Another question I haven't heard anyone mention......Has anyone gone with the red URD suregrip pulley, 2.825 instead of the 2.85???
