TRD supercharger

I played with a guy driving the big Jag with personalized plates on the way home. I'm 100% certain he'd leave me on open road, but with congestion I was always right there. I want more hp!

I'm actually running it on the TRD reflash. My AFRs are 11.3 at wot

 

Do you have a 7th injector or bigger overall injectors?

 

Guessing not possible without UCON, not sure how it is still in the safe range???

7th injector would be harder to run without the UCON. AFR's at 11.3:1 @WOT, through the RPM range are quite safe. I will let him explain his secrets. Should he want. Don't want to take that mystery away from him..

 

My first time really punching it was against some dude in a brand new Turbo Diesel. He was gunning it light to light, I got next to him finally, and stayed ahead of him despite the worst shifting I've ever done. Staying well within the speed limit, obviously.

We had a gentleman's agreement to keep the RPMs under 4k as well. Speed limit was 45 on that road, I managed to stay ahead for that whole minute it took to get there. #owned

Any numbers? How big of injectors you running?

I'm planning out my build and curious where you're at. I figure I'll go the whole 9 yards and do the 2.55, UCON, 7th... what else am I gonna do with that 10K lol

 

So I got a AEM Uego x series afr gauge and was wondering if I only needed to connect power and ground and tape together all the rest of the wires or are they also needed?

 

Yup you can do that. ....you don't need them

 

I'm running the 455 injectors and reflash. I've never dynoed my setup. I did run the UCon for many years... Even helped work with Scott on trouble shooting both versions of the ucon to run better . But if I knew what I know now, I would have stuck with the TRD reflash and leaned it out to its potential. Or purchased an after market ecu that a nearby tuner knows well. I think that's most important for tuning any ride. Find a local tuner and buy an ecu that he can tune well!! The TRD reflash is very dependable and consistent, which I like. It's true I have the 2.55 and NST kit... But I also live at 5000 ft and keep my rev limit at 5800 rpms.

 

Forgive the ignorance, but what kinda performance gains can we expect by adding the uconn? I've searched here and xr-underground without finding much info. To my understanding- having an intake, exhaust, smaller pullies etc. will lead to bigger gains for the uconn than say just a stock supercharged set-up. Assuming thats true, how much more will the uconn add?
