    Boys, we're already having a gasoline shortage in the Dallas area due to Harvey. I looked at STP octane booster last night and didn't get comfortable that it would do the trick. If I have to buy regular what is the best octane booster to add to make up the difference?

    The SC really gets better when you step down to a 2.85" pulley and add a bigger fuel pump, but it's not for everyone.

    The guy that sold me my supercharger just followed the installation PDF in reverse order. I don't know if that will help you. You will need some parts such as injectors and the intake manifold if you bought it already supercharged. Which btw I have most, if not all of my stock parts in a box still.

    Yeah I guess that's not a bad idea. I'll find the instructions and see if it helps.
    I've been meaning to put the 2.85 pull in. But now truck is for sale so it doesn't matter. Still sucks to make 12mpg and pay for premium. Although it did help with all the armor and camping equipment on the truck.

    I know that the yellow fuel injectors need to stay in the truck for it to run right with the flashed ecu. Aside from that you should be able to follow the instructions in reverse order I believe.

    Torco octain booster is the best, but if you can't get it and get jammed with buying regular, you can do it just stay out of boost, you'll have to drive like a grandma, but that's the only way.
    On the other hand, my heart goes out to you guys down there. During hurricane Sandy I was the OEM coordinator in a major city up here. The refinery in Elizabeth got flooded and there was no fuel, we ended up getting two military diesel tankers come up to supply fuel for our fire engines, and FEMA brought up a tanker full of gasoline for our police cars.
    The only thing I could recommend is have at least one vehicle filled up in case you need to vacate the area. Stay safe

    I had another recommendation for Torco too. Just looked it up. Does it work with cats and o2 sensors? I looked at one VP Racing product that did not.

    Can't seem to find Torco near me, but I did find Lucas Oil. Claims to be safe with cats and O2 sensors. I guess I'll grab a few bottles. Just saw that the Motiva refinery (largest in US) could be down two weeks.

    Mine also has always leaked/seeped a little from the hose fittings. $35 for a jug of Toyota coolant and topping it off at every oil change. All good.

    Found that a minute ago. If I can find it in a store I'll buy that over Lucas. Apparently Autozone has Lucas, but not Torco.

    I figured we'd have a gasoline issue down here, but I didn't think it would happen this fast. Wonder how the gas shortage will impact rescue efforts and people getting out of S. TX... What a mess.
