    Scratch that. I'm thinking about the intercooler pump. Apparently the TRD pump is an off-the-shelf Bosch that is also used on the 2003 s/c'ed Mustangs.

    My intercooler pump turns on randomly while the truck is sitting in the driveway and/or garage. I've asked my service department about the issue just to be told that everything is hooked up properly. Is this normal or should I look for another 12V source?

    Normal. The circuit that the instructions have you tap into goes hot periodically. Forget why this happens but it's explained on here
    somewhere.

    I like this one very much. That won't have the nipple leak associated with the plastic reservoir. Coupe, years ago made small run of a design similar to the Figs, in the link. It was a just a littls more in price as it had ports for sensors.

    Yeah it runs from time to time. Once should be about 20 min after you shut it off and then one more time a few hours later (that runs for quite a while)

    It's all normal though

    I've wondered if you couldn't just get someone to fab a custom one for that price with a bit more volume. Or just find one of the dozens of ~$150 camaro or mustang ones that could fit instead.

    I'm probably the jerk of this thread for posting this up, but go with a custom reservoir. Mine fits about 1.25 gallons for reserve not including what is in the system already and if I really want to I could use ice in there at any point as well. ;)
