We are not Twin screw and while we are a roots based blower, they are referred to as a TVS as well. Don't believe me, the CARB information regarding our blower says so as well. We have a TVS-1320 roots based Maggie blower. I checked all this info in the past which is why I have come to the conclusions I have regarding our max allowable RPM.

    as the cert shows

    We have the mp90
Which the cert shows as a totally seperate part#

Did you use the right formula for your blower rpm?

    U have a 6.5" crankshaft pulley

    Not a 5.9

Not at all bud! I was trying to figure it out myself. I misread what I was looking at a long time ago and I brought that ideal into this conversation with me, so I'm glad you double read that.

I also like how it states the size of the crank pulley as well, because that helps you determine the math on what sort of SC pulley size will get your blower spinning to what RPM.

Lol, it happens. Ive looked up carb shit many times for the blower specs in the past, and looking up socalled "trd" intakes.

I did the formula right. I'll write down the formula to determine it when I get home from dinner. So about 30 minutes or so.

    Dokes.

    Its fairly simple iirc
    Crank divide by snout pulley

    Multiplied by rpm?

The last twenty page have been highly enlightening and entertaining.

I have nothing to add except I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

That said, I am already having to avoid the wife because I bought a larger fuel pump. She's going to murder me when she finds out what else is on the list.

    Carry on.

TRD Blower, 2.3 Pulley, NST OverDrive Pulley Kit, B&M Shifter, TR Lowering Kit, Spec Clutch, Xrunner Body Kit
Crank pulley diameter / s/c pulley diameter x engine rpm = s/c rpm

The NST crank pulley is 175mm or 6.89 in.
The TRD crank pulley is I think 6.5 in.

    6.89/2.55= 2.70
    2.702 x 5800= 15,672rpm

push this to 6200 rpm engine and you get 16,752 rpm from s/c.

You were right. I DID do my math wrong, I was initially doing the math to 6500 when I didn't even realize that the factory redline was actually 5500 RPM. My blower is actually spinning to 14,300 not the 16,900 that I initially calculated. I could literally spin this thing several thousand RPM more before I hit the ceiling!

Crank Pulley / SC Pulley = Pulley Ratio
Pulley Ratio * RPM = SC RPM

    Crank Pulley = 6.5"
    SC Pulley = 2.5"
    RPM = 5500 (Factory redline)

    6.5" / 2.5" = 2.6
    2.6 * 5,500 RPM = 14,300 RPM

In short, even with a 2.5 pulley we are still well below this blowers max efficiency ceiling and can spin this thing up way more than I initially assumed.

Folks with the stock 3.0 pulley spin their blower 11,913 RPM.

    So is meth a waste?
Everything feels like its being turned upside down.

The blowers effeciency rating your using.... thats indeed for the mp90 and not the tvs 1320?

    My brains tired for sure.

The other thing to consider is the steady state rpm limit is 12-14k and intermittent rpm up to 16-18k.....
These numbers came to me from an Eaton rep email years ago.

Indeed for the M blowers and not the TVS series.

I am getting a lot of revelations about this blower being more vocal about my study of it now on here. I held back for a long time about it all. The Qwikchange pulley jump started all of this.

That's right. Many of us will never spend all day at redline. So intermittently spinning this thing up high will not harm it I'd imagine. He'll I've read stories of GTP owners spinning their junk all the way up to 20,000 RPM. Hahahaha.

Doing some very simple mathz shows me the smallest you would safely want to go with this blower is a 2.3 pulley which would put the blower spinning at 15,543 RPM. Just before the max window of 16,000 RPM. That would put you right around 12 PSI and you would peak probably at 13 PSI. Double the blowers initial factory output.

    Wild stuff man.
