TRD supercharger

AFR should constantly fluctuate should it not? I have a wideband AFR gauge and that thing is constantly jumping all over the place, especially if I'm varying the throttle. At idle it stays around 14.7 but still jumps all over between 14 - 15.

Can get kind of annoying at night actually with the LED gauge

 

AFR is tuned and commanded in response to engine load.

 

True. I just notice a big change from factory exhaust to current set up. Didnt know what to expect. As long as the motor is wnl's I'm fine

 

True. It's the waiting for delivery part. By the time they're delivered are they going to be obsolete and more challenging to get updates for??

I like Mat's work but, given the amount of over-promising and under-delivering he's done, I think ALL of us waiting on stuff have a right to complain. Those who haven't seen their first tune yet, however, should have priority placement in the line.

 

Mat's in South Korea. It'd be nice if he could expand his team, but I imagine that's difficult due to the nature of the business and his geographic location.

 

I was waiting for things to settle down. Liked the entire concept better than the Ucon. Now I’m not so sure.

I can't keep up! IIRC, he was in the Pacific Northwest, with plans to relocate toward the East Coast. Then, he was in Europe on business, I think. Now, he's in South Korea? No wonder so many of us waiting for fulfillment of promises made...

From the looks of the OVTune facebook posts, he has his hands in a lot of different pots working on developing tuning for all kinds of vehicles. The 2nd gen Tacoma seems like a low-priority pet project at this point.

 

That would make sense since the 2nd Gen Tacoma isn't produced anymore and for the most part people where/are happy with the stock 4.0 so there is limited market there. As opposed to the 3rd Gen which is current production and a lot of people dislike the stock tune.

 

The fact Magnuson bought the rights from Toyota for the 1grfe designed blower not long ago and keeps making them shows me the aftermarket demand is still high for the 2nd gens. It's also urds bread and butter platform I bet.

 

Not saying there isn't demand. Hell I am running a Magnuson unit and a UCON. I am just saying that maybe for OVTune there isn't enough demand for him to focus on the 2nd Gen hence the extremely long wait. Multiple Projects + it doesn't sound like a fulltime gig if he is off in other parts of the world working, etc.. From my understanding its a pretty small shop.

I haven't really followed it much this is just my observations.
