TRD supercharger

    Yes, this is what they recommend. I asked them if they thought it was okay if I used the "black", and they told me to just use the grey. So grey it is!

    So the URD Mark lll exhaust has been on my truck now for 3 days. I've only driven maybe 30-40 miles. My initial impression was that it pretty much sounded just like the TRD exhaust. Is there a break in period so to speak with the muffler?? It pleasantly sounds a little louder, meaner, and better than it initially did. Along with the performance gains the only thing that can make it even better is if the sound improves even more.

    Yea it definitely gets better as it wears in. Shit the whole system gets better after a few thousand miles. 7k miles now, I'm pretty happy with the whole shebang. Do I want more, obviously, but if I completely ran out of money now, I'd be happy with the current power and sound.

    So quick question guys, I have been searching for a supercharger for awhile now, and found one that is coming off of a 99 4Runner its a TRD with a URD 7th injector system. it will be going on a 2003 Tacoma from what I've read it should be the same supercharger but prior to buying I would appreciate a conformation that it will fit, any knowledge would be great. thank in advance guys.

    IMHO its LOUD AF and wears on you. I have mine mated with TRD exhaust and its plenty throaty when I get on it. I've driven one with the set up you're talking about and it was annoying real fast.

    I've been keeping my eye on those AFE headers. I like the idea of the high flow cats. It's all there ready to install with no welding. O2 bung, air inj tubing for 12+.......everything.
