TRD supercharger

    There was hardly any low end gains with my S/C. Tow a trailer in "4" on the highway at 70 mph is a different story (running 3k rpms) but also getting <10 mpg. You are right about the bang per buck for a bolt on, and unless you want to do some R&D it's the right choice, but I'd still get a turbo over the S/C given the chance again.

    I would think that is better than nothing. My advice would be to negotiate the install cost up front then when it comes time to do the install, drop it off and tell them not to rush. Let them take as long as they need to do the job correctly. By negotiating the cost up front you won't have to worry about excessive charges and you give them all the time they need. In the end it may take longer but you would pay a lower hourly shop rate and still have a good job. This isn't something you want the installation rushed on.

    In Canada you are lucky to get it for under $6000 installed, the dealers cost is around $4500 for just the blower.

    Regardless, I'll be blown in less than a week!

    My truck is making noise again... :pout: Seems to be a big exhaust leak or something maybe? I'm not sure yet but I leave it sit for a few days at the airport and that's what happens.

    How much PSI are you TRD guys running? I'm hitting around 12 psi at night. =]

    Running the 2.8 URD Stealth, but I believe it went up a couple PSI after I installed the Y Pipes.

    What elevation are you?

    Also, increasing exhaust, or intake efficiency of flow will decrease the psi reading.
