so I heard that the TRD s/c is getting discontinued this year!! I have a TRD off road v6 6speed and have been saving my a$$ off for this damn S/C that Iv been wanting for days! Now, my question is to all the TRD s/c owners and enthusiast....should I go ahead and buy the s/c (which I have to find away to get another $2000 on top of my savings) or just continue to save for a URD s/c? any reviews or opinions would help on this topic!! And other question is...is the TRD s/c really worth the money in the end??

Probably not popular on this forum but for the same money you would spend on forced induction on a 4.0 taco you could invest in a 3.5 Ecoboost twin turbo Ford and have way more power. better MPG on 87 octane fuel, 6speed auto And a full warranty. Don't get me wrong I love my taco but for raw power the Ford will Amaze you.

You haven't been on the Ford forums yet I take it, I've seen and heard from all the guys who are complaining about the 3.5 Ecoboost not getting the 22 mpg ( more like 18 mpg at best) or the turbos coking up already, and other normal Ford stuff that don't work on a perfectly new truck.

I thought about getting Ecoboost myself but after hearing and seeing the issues with the Ecoboost I'll hold my thoughts on getting one anytime soon.

    Lots baby!
I have a TRD S/C and have put about 55K miles on it. I have a NST S/C pulley, DT long tubes, APR Y pipe & URD Cat back. I have an APR X1 piggy back ecu & 7th injector.

I put down about 350HP at the wheels. I have been happy with the set up.

X 1,000,000. I learned this early. But yet I still can't stop myself. It is NOT logical, but often true.

I have the TRD SC and added the URD 2.8 stealth pulley about a year later. I'd do both again. Even w/o the pulley. But, the pulley is well worth it. I have to be easy on the skinny pedal from a stop or it'll bark every time.

Also, the power to weight ratio compared to the F150 EcoBoost is better on the Tacoma. Better than the the Tundra w/ the 5.7 as well.

These are my notes. Numbers taken from each manufactures website. As apples to apples as I could find.

A URD overdrive pulley would only increase the Tacoma #s.

I just bought one. They have been going up in price. Cheapest I've seen is around 4300 if you buy the fit kit and sc separately.
