    Hey Crashnburn, I have been reading more of your other posts about wheels and tires and what-not. I am a newbie at all this and would love your opinion. I recently purchased a 2013 DBL Cab TRD Sport SB I am about to pull the trigger on a ToyTec 3" lift with new Bilsteins 5100 front and back.I have purchased the Toyota TRD Wheel Set (4) Black 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Tacoma
    $280 PTR20-35110-BK Toyota 2010-2024 4runner TRD 17" Matte Black Wheel PTR20-35110-BK
    PTR20-35110-BK.     I am looking at the Pro Comp AT sport 265/75-17's I believe they are E rated. What is your opinion on this set-up? Will the tires fit properly.....I believe they are just shy of 32" with the new rims. would really love your input. Thanks.

    I think you mean 265/70/R17s? 265/75 is for 16s, as in 265/75/R16.

    That tire size will fit properly on those wheels, and look really good, putting the tire out at about the edge of the flare. The tire size is ideal on the Tacoma as it is the largest size you can run without getting into rubbing issues, that start to require cutting. It is the size that I am running. Some people do experience minor contact on the mud flaps, I am running low profile flexible RokBlokz flaps and don't have any rubbing issues.

    However, I would avoid the E-load tires. They will be really heavy by comparison and have a harsher ride. The heavier tire will affect acceleration/power/mpgs/braking. E-load is suited for a loaded full size pickup which is way overkill for our Tacomas.

    If you do not off road much, or stick to areas that won't affect your sidewalls like forest service roads/sand, I would look at the Toyo Open Country ATII, they look very similar to the Pro Comp AT sport, and they come in a very light P-load, same rating as stock. Note there is also an E-load version, so be sure to get the P-loads.

    If you do take your truck off road, I would suggest a C-load tire. These will be much more durable than the P-loads, but not nearly as heavy or as stiff as the E-load tires. I would suggest the BFG KO2 in C-load, which is my current favorite true AT tire for off road use.

    Dude....thank you so much for your knowledge on this. Yes, I meant 70's. and I looked at the BFG KO2....like them and the Toyo also. I just checked with "4wheel parts" in Denver and they said the ProComp AT sports in that size ONLY come in E. 10 ply. the guy sounded like it was too much tire for the Tacoma. sort of a bummer. loved the look of it but agree that the Toyo looks nice too. Just looked up the Toyo....6 ply.....sounds good. Price is good too.

    What is your advice on UCA's. will my lift and add-ons ruin my ability for proper alignment?

    Note the P load Toyos are actually 4 ply. The C load KO2s were 6 ply. 4 ply is what is stock and best for street use and very light off road. 6 ply is more durable and better suited for harsher off road environments that may puncture a 4 ply tire.

    P load = 4 ply
    C load = 6 ply
    D load = 8 ply
    E load = 10 ply

    If you do 3" you will need UCAs. I went with 2" so I don't need them. Somewhere around 2.5 you start to need them for correct alignment.

    Hi, does anyone know if I could replace my stock rims with 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers runnning 285/70/17 BFG KOs with the TRD rims? I have bilstein 5100s up front set at top height (2.25 or 2.5 I think) with an AAL in the rear. I had to do some trimming of the fender but have minimal rub now. The stock rims are getting a little beat up and I would really like to get rid of the spacers but not sure if the offset on these rims will give me similar clearance etc. Thanks for any input you can give me.
